It was in another language, Slavic or Celtic or something called Wardruna. Literally about the guy setting his horse free because we the riders actually hurt the horse, especially over time.

Yup. There's nothing like that feeling. Watching them run in the field and then being on them with a continuous rein dropped, letting the horse go while you just hold on with your legs.... The horse has control and even when they're running free without halters or any tack in the field, the sound of their hooves and feeling them approaching in the ground while watching five to seven of them running towards you to greet you when you have a good relationship with them.... It's a feeling all equine folks know, but most don't.
