Right? Those drums are SO well recorded. So much snap on every piece of the kit. Honestly I think 'Toilet' might sound even better. I think it has something to do with the cramped environments in which they record maybe? If this is actually a live recording that is, hard to tell.
@@himbourbanist they actually did record all the audio for van in that van, you can tell by the mic placement. the drums are also compressed and saturated as fuck using vst plugins, which is a big part of the sound, as well as the mic placement (notice how the kick is miced on the batter side as opposed to the more conventional placing of a mic on the reso side)

Just because you know music theory doesn't mean you experience music differently :)
Bro that's why we're here
@@jwsmi I never said you had to know theory, plenty of musicians dont. And this doesn't come from a place of arrogance or pride, but to say musicians dont experience music differently and in a specific way compared to non-musicians is like saying astronomers don't see the sky differently to someone whos not. Or that a painter doesnt see a painting differently than someone whos not and artist. Or an architect looking at structures and buildings compared to someone whos not a builder or architect. Im not saying we're better or smarter. Just for example if youre not a drummer, or a musician who dabbles all over..the respect and perception for what he does is well...not experienced the same. you usually have to go through crossover genres.

@U w U In that case, id like to send you a nice variety of metal to try, to show you how diverse it is.
draconian, sleepwalkers (gothic doom metal, its gentle enough to fall asleep to) (dark, ethereal, and relaxing)
epica, unleashed (symphonic metal, with a world class opera singer and a HEAVY bassline) (but dont worry, its not the annoying opera voice) (energetic headbang)
moonspell, first light (gothic black metal) (its DARK and BITTER and BRUTAL)
eluveitie, call of the mountains (european folk metal, a historical band played on bagpipes, a harp, lutes, hurdy gurdies, and other trad instruments) (very light and pretty) (though thats eluveities lightest song, they go much heavier)
in this moment, big bad wolf ( nu metal genre. absolutely BRUTAL AND FILTHY 😂👌)
rings of saturn, godless times (technical alien deathcore) (weird.... just weird....)
sla'''ughter to prevail, agony (regular deathcore) (this song WILL kiII your grandma 👌😂)

Also, consider this, it's the best 30 seconds of music because it is sandwiched between 2 very avantgarde phrases/verses, making it seem more special due to that juxtaposition. But, that 30 seconds is so good that if it were an entire album, it would be the 1st album I bought in like 15 years.
