Legiana Theme (My Original Composition)

- My own fan-made concept theme for (Shrieking) Legiana. I love this monster for its massive size and resemblance to the Toruk from the James Cameron film "Avatar".

The piano was the anchor for everything in this piece (as it is for most ice-related areas or monsters in the games). I then added lots of cymbals, glockenspiel, chimes, bells, whispers, crotales, lots of metallic instruments (including my water bottle... yup, I played that thing like a drum) to have some icy texture. There are some swooping passages to emulate the mobility of Legiana (that dive-bomb attack). The long legato passages with heroic tones are to match what I felt when I fought this beautiful creature the first time.

For some reasons your themes seem to fit to Stories *_perfectly_*, but somehow not as much on mainline series. Could be bc the percussions are not as intense and instead the theme is more "dynamic"

Yes, I think you’re right. The battle themes are usually more scary “bad guy” sounding in the series, and they belong to the area more than anything, not each monster. I get quite dynamic and base myself on the concept of the monster more than the battle element.
However! I think dynamic music like this makes for thrilling battles, even if it isn’t how the series does it.

Always love your compositions. This one is particularly great for Legiana. Wonder if it will return in Rise Sunbreak? With how it prefers aerial attacks I could see it fitting easily with the wirebug sandbox.

It’s also got some European vibes? I mean Legiana would be a great fit in Sunbreak given that it’s ghostly and shrieks a lot, much like the Banshee

I mean...we got Frankenstein's monster, a werewolf, a vampire and THE DEVIL, so I don't see why we can't slot Legiana or at least Shrieking in there

I don't know but I feel like this would be in Avatar, or at least some parts of it. Fits with Legiana looking somewhat like a Banshee.

Jk of course! I really like this one and it definitely suits Legiana’s majestic and graceful nature while also connecting to its icy nature with those bell tinkles.
