I knew that was going to come up. Looking at the surfaces of the valves and seats, there was a wide contact band and I didn't feel it necessary. I know people say to do it every time you have the valves out, but it's not too late for me to reconsider. I guess I could do a " How to" video.

Really enjoying your videos. I have a 1976 redhead that has been a challenge. Was curious why you didn't lap the valves while you had them out.

Isn't assembly oil a lot lighter than gear oil? Not that it matters much with the amount you used. Just less icky additives.
Old school, engine builder uses straight 50 and stp oil treatment mix only. It's like cold honey. It all spins off, once it starts running.
