    Really nice video, well done! In 2011 I had a rare summer business trip to Europe and took a one week vacation, renting a bike in Munich and crossing the Alps to the Dolomites. Not sure about costs these days but then it was quite affordable. There are so many places set up for skiers to stay that there are a lot of affordable accommodations for motorcyclists.

    • @SeanandEmily
      @SeanandEmily  2 месяца назад

      Hi James! Thanks for leaving a comment. That’s awesome that you got to combine a vacation with a business trip 😎🙌🏻. Sounds like you made the most of your time and so glad you got to experience the Alps for yourself! Prices have shot up in Europe over the last few years but there’s still some good off season bargains to be had.

      Thanks very much, really glad you have enjoyed them and found them useful for planning. Yes that's correct, only no need to sync afterwards as the DJI receiver connects to the GoPro. In case you are wondering about other equipment we have a list on our website:

    • @SeanandEmily
      @SeanandEmily  Год назад

      Hi, great to hear from you and we are glad you enjoying the tours.
      As our route and timings our never set in stone we don't make a route to be imported into the navi.
      What we tend to do is to plot the points of interest on google maps (including the roads we want to ride) and then join the dots. Then we just pop in the waypoints as we go along so each morning we decide where we want to go as someday we get further than expected and other times not as far.
      The maps to our tours can be found on our website. Here is Heading North (we will complete the Blog at a later date)

    Hi Sean & Emily. You guys recently had the k1600 on loan, do you prefer the GSA?, for what reason? I ask as i am interested in the k1600, i would have thought it would have been a more suitable for touring with pillion. Your thoughts would be appreciated.:-). Ride safe 🙏

    • @SeanandEmily
      @SeanandEmily  Год назад +2

      Hi Joslin, yes we borrowed the K1600 for a few days. Personally we prefer the GS as it’s more suited to our travels. We often travel to places with poor road surfaces and some bumpy light off roading. Plus the GS carries all our camping gear etc etc.
      however if you are looking at riding good quality roads with a more sporty feel then perhaps the k1600 is a good choice -it is an incredibly smooth ride and with the pillion back box (we tested the GT model that doesn’t come with the pillion setup) it could be a great two up touring bike. Best bet is to go test them out so you can compare. Cheers 😎🙌🏻

    Hi from Australia, tour Touratech interview. Was fab, Love what you 2 do, your passion is captivating, you obviously love the BMW GSA, as you traded in an older one, Q to you, have you had any bike issues ? Are they reliable in general. With the complex amount of technology they have? Im looking for reliability. I am intrigued that most buyers of most brands have to upgrade the suspension on brand new motorcycles, is this required for the 1250 GSA as you have Emily and gear. Was looking at GSA or Africa Twin 1100 Adventure sports. Your vids are inspirational , best wishes Stephen

    • @SeanandEmily
      @SeanandEmily  Год назад +2

      Hi Stephen, thanks for your comment and I’m glad you enjoyed the Touratech interview 😊. Yeah we’ve ridden the GSA for about 8 years now. Our older Gsa (the Air cooled R1200) has been but into retirement-we couldn’t bare to part with it do we kept it lol. We’ve had no issues with the R1200 other than replacing the clutch which it not bad for a 13 year old bike.
      The R1250 we picked up 3 months ago and have put 15,000 Km on it. We are currently heading to the Nordkapp and I must say the bike has been great with not 1 error message. I think people are quick to complain about issues or error messages but the majority that have no issues stay quiet. So speaking from our experience so far the bike has her. Great!
      As for the suspension, I think the Oem one is fine for the road and light off road use. But those that want to do more extreme off roading might need to upgrade it. We ride two up fully loaded with camping and cooking equipment on roads with many holes, gravel tracks and some light off roading snd hand had no issues with the stock suspension. I guess it’s designed as a do it all bike do if people have more specific uses in mind they might need a few upgrades. I hope that helps and you enjoy watching our videos. All the best Sean and Emily 😎🙌🏻
