I used this recipe and it has now become my family's request for our birthday gatherings. They are deliciously packed with flavor- I spent about $15ttd in saltfish each time fried in about 1 cup of oil and got about 12-15 fritters for a family of five it is the perfect amount... my mum and dad scooped them up with my first attempt at Ria's pepper sauce yum yum.
RIA,,Hello, thanks for this one I’ll try it for sure, your recipe , for the curried shrimp, I made so many times , my wife loved it , but She passed on FEB 14 65. years we were married, anyhow life goes on . take care , God Bless you & family 🇹🇹🇹🇹🇯🇲🇯🇲🇺🇸🇺🇸
One of my home's favourite..I can never make enough😁😁 unfortunately we don't get cod anymore..we get pollock. The texture is lighter and also not as salty so just a quick soak in hot water is enough. I usually leave the batter at least 1hour to rest before frying and I love it with tamarind sauce. The colour is beautiful as usual👍👍👌👌
Love your method will definitely try it! Have u ever made salmon with this recipe or how about tuna fish? Thanks for you video! And especially the frying tips! And different shapes ❤🌹🥰 Appreciate u always! Be safe 🙏
This is looking delicious. Do you have to let the batter sit to raise before frying? This isn't something that we are aware of in Guyana or at least I haven't heard of it . Please let me know as we will try it.🙏🙏🙏🙏❤❤❤🇬🇾💯💯🙏
I just can't thank you enough for your recipes. I look forward to when you post. Everything is always so clear and concise.
I'm so happy that I found your channel. Thank you for sharing your recipes.

Not just any spoon but a wooden spoon. Nice recipe, like the use of thyme leaves
I love salt fish accra so delicious👌👌
Thank you very much for your great recipes 🙏🏾
Most welcome. 🥰
Boiling my saltfish now!
Lay a wooden spoon across the top of the pot, that prevents it from bubbling over… that’s what I do.
Excellent yummy snack! i must try it... can i use another type of fish like filet and bread crumbs instead of white flour
Bread crumbs won’t hold together too well. Totally different texture. Yes you can use any type of flaky fish or conch.
Look so delicious ria I will try it out for sure
You make cooking look so easy. So I’m encouraged to try. What type of oil do you recommend for frying?
Thank you. Vegetable oil.

Thank you. Yes you should allow it to rest before frying for best results 30-60 mins. Hope you enjoy!
In Barbados we make our batter more loose and drop it by spoonfulls.
My favorite I love salt fish cakes
I enjoy your cooking
Thanks for sharing Ria
💕😍 need to taste this
Tasty as usual
Yummy yummy 😋
Yummy ty
I think you have to place the pot spoon over not in the pot so it doesn't boil over. Great recipe though love your channel 💜
Thanks. Will give it a try!
@@CookingWithRia and it should be a wooden spoon
You could place a wooden utensil in the boiling water

I have notice you ues a lot of sugar in most of your menus!!! Why is that?
There is 1 tsp of sugar in this recipe. You always have the option of eliminating if that’s too much for you.
