Thanks! I guess the question is "who gets the resource when SLT dies,", right? I'll have to make sure I've got that scenario right myself first, it's a tricky one :P
@@Rsquared991 I think it's the controller of the card that gets the resource. 8.28.2. When a unit is defeated, it is placed in its owner’s discard pile, but any “When Defeated” abilities are resolved by whichever player controlled it when it was defeated. However, I guess you could claim that the upgrade is also removed on defeat. I will have to dig a bit deeper :P
The wording on SLT states that when defeated “YOU” do x, not “it’s owner does x”, which one could construe that the current controller get it back as a resource. Up until the moment its defeated SLT is under the effect of Traitorous. They go to discard simultaneously, there is no instance where SLT goes back to its owners control prior to the discard.
It's been almost 2 decades since I last played MtG so I'm kinda cured of that (we never really are, it's always there, lurking). It's true that you need to approach MtG and SW:U rules from a different perspective!
Worst rule is definitely the current Time Rules in Tournament play: If both players are 1-1 in record (they have both won 1 game out of the best of 3) and time is called, unless they can end the game in that turn both players lose the match. You heard that right. Not whoever is higher in life, not whoever won the first game, just both players lose. It has led to roll offs instead of finishing last games which while more fair than both players losing, it shouldnt have to be that way
Yeah, they really need to come up with some kind of fair (or at least better than the current one) way to resolve these situations. Did you have that happen to you?
Good question! I'd say you can play Karabast (based on the rule of the video) but no damage would be dealt because the wording is "a friendly unit deals damage". So it's the unit dealing the damage, not Karabast itself. There are other cards stating "Deal X damage based on Y" so I think wording here is important. Disclaimer: I could be way wrong on this :P
Karabast does not have all scenarios and rules built in quite yet so this option may not be possible. If it does not work just report the bug and explain the rule and I am sure the devs will fix it in time.
I have a rules question: If you are playing Han and use his special ability, when destroying a resource can you choose Superlaser Tech every time and put it back in play because of its on destroyed ability?
I mean... if you read the rulebook, you really don't need any of that. The rules are very simple and very clear. People are just dumb and don't read the damn rules
Or they just don't have as much free time as we do ;) Keep in mind that a lot of new players ignore the fact that there's comprehensive rules and use Quickstart for reference.
@@Oneidos_Gaming generally speaking, TCG players are the ones that have always displayed general bad behaviour and lack of knowledge. I've never encountered those traits with actual boardgamers, they read the damn rules. You can't play a game if you don't know the rules.
New to this so I'm still working on the sound. I think I overdid it with noise reduction/normalizer which resulted in lower output volume. Thanks for your feedback!
keep these coming please!
with your help...
i hope, one day,
to win my first game.
...without having to resort to threats of violence.
This was actually great! Suggestion for the next video: Traitorous on Super Laser Technician!
Thanks!

@@Oneidos_Gaming Oh yes, that is the one...
@@Oneidos_Gaming well for me it would be always the owner of the card that gets SLT as a resource

This is amazing dude. Really helpful!
Thanks, means a lot!
Magic the gathering really messes with how we think about this scenario haha.

Can karabast be played with no units on the board but doing the 1 damage? I’m assuming yes based on this video

@@pnuthedstroyr Hey! Thanks for watching! Are you referring to the Karabast game client?
Yes haha I misread the comment 🙃
The double loss rule is definitely my least favorite
Double loss? Are you referring to loss due to time limits in events?
Sitting and wasting 30 min watching your opponent slow play to a ridiculous degree just to game the results is my least favorite
@@HaviccB some people will do everything for a win I guess. It's sad, and rules should be in place to ensure fair play.

No, cards lose all their abilities when used as resources. They are essentially resource tokens.
