I’m convinced the current Execs at DICE are doing their best to destroy the Battlefield franchise. This is an abomination
wish development studios across the board would seize control of their games. there must be some legal loophole around publishing contracts that the right lawyers could find. if dev leeway was legally forced, corpo publishers like sony & microsoft would have to negotiate with game developers in order to keep games on their platforms. this way, total creative process is the responsibility of devs & alternatively closer to the cosumer; not in the hands of some white collar business model's desperation for generating fiscal revenue.

I made a tough decision today. I will stop playing 2042 and remove any content related to the game from my social media feeds. The game just isn’t the bf I knew and loved. I’ll come back late next year and check back in to see if anything changed.

So I'm guessing the team spent a lot of time thinking of these modes rather than actually thinking about what makes Battlefield what it is - so wide of the mark with this game - get the core game right first devs please.

DICE have destroyed the community aspect. No VoIP, no All Chat, no Squad/Team menu, and NO SCOREBOARD. Also the profanity filter. Game about war but no swearing ok guys.

Just tried playing the Elf mode. Its fuckin broken. Just like every other thing in this game. Wont reset the server, so the match is over and everyone is just stuck sitting there.
I was there when we killed the last guy,we won and then boom,the server wouldnt restart

Everytime I try and play this game it feels off. I end up loading into a match then immediately closing the game to play something else. Scrolling though the PS5 menu is more fun then BF2042

Haven't played the first release month and made it to lvl 90 yesterday. Can't blame him, I don't see myself playing the game much either when I'm not grouped up with friends. Randoms are frustrating af and squad play is extremely fun in this BF iteration tbh

It’s a fun event. Many games have events like these. For example Rainbow Six Siege and Overwatch. Siege of which has had many and most of the community really enjoys them. For example Outbreak was the best mode and most people were open to it.

I think that even the art work in this game is way off. Even if they fix all the buggs, still game doesn t give me that feeling... hard to explain! In bf5 I had this warm feeling that was calling me back to play more. But 2042 feels and looks cold and distant..

Purchased this game 2 weeks ago played it 10x and deleted it couple days ago so now playing BFV. BFV is so good right now, the movement the gun play the sound the everything and you can talk to people in game

I don't understand why everyone is hating on 2042 so much. Picked it up because it was on sale, and haven't noticed much in the way of obvious flaws since I've started playing it. The game has been smooth, relatively bug free outside of some visual glitches, and I've enjoyed it a ton
1:21:50 - 160fps seems great on the surface, but if you think about it that's still nowhere near the level of performance you should be getting given your setup.
You're playing at Low settings in a 32 players mode, the same hardware can run Battlefield V at 200+ FPS at Ultra settings (DXR off) with 64 players, all whilst ticking the game at 60Hz instead of 45Hz like in BF2042.
Has it been proven that it's 45hz can't find it anywhere
@@johnturner8352 No official words on the matter yet and I don't know if somebody ran extensive testing since launch, but enabling the built-in performance metrics in-game shows the client's simulation rate runs capped at 45fps, BattleNonSense during the Beta found the client exchanged 45 packets per second, and last but not least whilst commenting on the 128-players scale an ex DICE developer said 60Hz was a requirement for him, which suggests he knows for a fact the game runs below that.
If it looks like a duck, swims like a duck, and quacks like a duck, then it probably is a duck.
Also consider that with cross-play consoles and PC need to coexist on the same servers; previous titles run at 30Hz on consoles and 60Hz on PC, given the bump in CPU power (partially offset by the new features) it would make sense for them to aim for 45Hz as a middle-ground.

Use the "hold to revive" option buried in the settings. SO much better. Easy to cancel out of a revive.

How are people playing in pc? I get a error launch code. It’s annoying. And unable to play
What's the consensus on how this is running now? I've got a ps5 boxed up for a Christmas present for my little boys and normally I'd be on BF from launch. I've not played it yet and it's painful to wait but seems to have had its typical start in life.
Is it improving? Is it better then BF5? I personally felt massively let down with BF5 and went back to BF1.

It must improve, and it already has its battlefield-esque moments, but it is by and large still devoid of quality content. Physics are ridiculous, there are heaps of balancing issues, hitreg is still off and overall it feels very empty. Sometimes it is very enjoyable.
