This is not a fight video like puffer vs cray fish. I am just feeding my fish. I don't know what's unfair and rigged about that. I've grown this guy from a 1 inch fish he is 13 inches now.
The only thing that bothered me is choice of music. Usually I am never bothered by videos of predators feeding. But music somehow makes it look like you enjoy the process of how puffer slowly killed the crayfish.
Everyone mistook this as a fight because of the sandstorm music you were playing the background (which suggests that this is some kind of a competition). Other than that, I'm assuming a lot of people disliked your video because the crayfish's death was very unusual and cruel, with his body being cut in half while he was still alive. I understand this is how it might be in nature, but since we as humans know the difference between right and wrong, why should we put other creatures through unnecessary torture and suffering when it can be avoided? If you can, please (quickly/painlessly) dispatch whatever organism you are feeding your puffer before you introduce it into the tank. Just my two cents...
@@johnparks6936 Puffers require live feeding to replicate their natural feeding in the wild. Puffers will get docile and become complacent without the occasional live feeding. Therefore It's not really possible to kill the food first. The puffer wouldn't be interested in it.

Since we as humans have the capacity to differentiate between right and wrong, why should we put other creatures through unnecessary torture and suffering when it can be avoided? Yes it might happen in nature, but that does not make it acceptable nor does it imply that we should blindly follow it if a better option is available. For example, if everyone were to assume that violence, murder, theft, and rape "happen in the real world" and so consider themselves entitled to commit acts like that, I'm sure you would agree that this world would be a completely uninhabitable place. Whether in captivity or not animals still have instincts and should be maintained, although I do think it would be better to use something smaller like multiple smaller crabs, something that'll die much faster without the need to break its claws first, it just seems more humane, not that I agree that this isn't humane. The primary reason we probably don't feed things like lions or mammals live prey in zoos is probably because it would add extra resources like maintenance and its just much more graphic otherwise I much prefer live feedings than watching a bored, unstimulated animal eating raw meat. Also there is no objective right or wrong, only subjective hence the divide on videos like these.

Seems like it'd be a touch more humane to freeze the crayfish 1st. I'm all for feeding live foods and in fact, feed earthworms, guppy fry and crickets to my fish. But they're either consumed in one bite or dispatched prior top feeding.
These fish require live food in order to keep their hunting instincts. Most people will give them clams and small crabs. The clams are an instant food and the crabs are put there to make them hunt for the food.
