So I was at comic con recently and my best friend was talking to a guy who makes art about the ninja turtles comics and I went over to talk with them and the guy was like "I'm John what's your name" "I'm Jennica" and he goes "are you serious? " And I was so confused until they explained to me there was a freaking ninja turtle named Jennika !!! So that's wild having my very uncommon name represented in media.

Just an idea, but maybe the transformation had some healing effects. A human blood transfusion would just give her more blood. A mutant's transfusion would cause her body to rebuild itself as a turtle, potentially healing the damage of the sword in the process.

This is completely false about Jennika's introduction. Jennika debuted in issue 51 back in October 2015, and she wasn't mutated until issue 95 in July 2019. She was created by Tom Waltz and Ken Garing, so not Sophie Campbell. It was Waltz who chose to turn her into the 5th turtle in 2017 years before Campbell was set to become the new lead writer. Where people like to connect Jennika to Campbell's character Artemisia is because Waltz reached out to Campbell to design her as a turtle for Waltz' pitch. The only similarity is the choice of mask/marking color, which was chosen by Waltz.

Why so many dislikes?
Because people are tired of having their childhoods ripped away to please a minority of people who don't have the creativity to make something on their own that is profitable. No one wants to buy"Two-Sprit Furry Shamans!" When established anthropomorphic continuities already exist that dont shove underlined opinions down our throats. That being said, I am sure there are hundreds of readers who would love to buy, cosplay, create social events and so on for the super-woke community. That takes effort though. Instead of catering to their niche and building a community that will sponsor their ideas. They attack foundations that already exist until they get their way and kill them off because they fail to see that the majority doesn't want or feel the same as they do. They could easily have their own corner on the market where their ideas were not only accepted but flourished because the fan base would see to it that they had new stories to follow. That's too much work though. It's sad because if they were to build up their own franchises, they could influence so many more people than they do with this current method, that turns so many off and makes them even more combative and closed-minded. It's like if conservatives decided you know what "My Little Pony" needs? More Jesus, guns, and an underlined message that abortion is murder. It would completely destroy the franchise. We need to stop trying to change things we already have and just create new things. It's a win, no matter what your opinions are.

The cartoons and comics from your childhood are still there, go read and watch them if you don't like the new stuff. You are in control of what you view, after all.

The She Hulk show was anounced after they mutated Jennika, and the character had been in the book for years before that happened. This book just completed it's 11th year.
