Really like this quilt and like the embellished center. I have this pattern also to do in green and purples. I like your snowballing idea. Gonna steal that.
A lovely quilt Andrae, and i love the beautiful little star legs in the center of it. Nice to see and hear of a young man sewing, because it is for everyone, not just us girls. Norah, Scotland
I like that scrappy inner border you've inserted, you could do the same with your binding. And the white in the centre of each star block really makes it "glow". (Note to self: make sure you add the lightest strips on the outermost corner of each "braid column" i.e. before adding the triangles). Thanks for sharing your quilt!
Lol - how many times I have sewed and resewed only to be right the first time. And then again, how many times have I sewed and resewed the same wrong way over and over. BTW - I love your block and quilt.
It was $2.97 a yard. I got it from Walmart. Sometimes ordering the whole bolt was cheaper between $15-$19 but Walmart went up on their prices so I don't buy from them anymore....ok except for their polycotton fabric.
I did this quilt and I hated the blocks! I could not get the triangles on the sides in such a way as to have room to square up the blocks without cutting off my points. Grrrrr......mental freeze on my part I’m sure.
I did have to do a little of stretching, slight pleating, adding more seams in some spots because the bottom fabric didn't catch and I didn't worry about the points. It will still come out looking good.
You do such beautiful work, and each star appears to be illuminated from within. Thank you for sharing your talent and inspiring us, Mr. Banks 💐
Bless your heart. I’ve done the same exact thing by picking it out and realized it was right. Beautiful colors. I love it. Thank you for sharing!❤️❤️
Lol I always have to pick out stitches, right or wrong.
Beautiful colors. Love how the light center almost look illuminated! Stunning!

Thank you!
Really like this and the centre baby star - fabulous .........might give it a go myself this weekend.
I started on another one. I'm going to make the star I have in the middle bigger.
@@andraebanks I'm going to do one the Christmas fabrics from my Mums stash, she died last year and I think she would have loved this pattern.

I love it!
Thank you, I haven't quilted this one yet. It's next on my to-do list.
I bought the binding tool to do this quilt and still haven't gotten around to it
It's fun and easy to make. I made it without the binding tool. I'm actually working on a 3rd quilt using this pattern.
pretty any way
