We all know how expensive rebuilding this Mercedes C63 AMG has been so far & from making some silly mistakes ive made it more difficult for myself. But a huge delivery has came which contains the most expensive part so far. Although this was expensive it should save money rebuilding the AMG in the long run.

that steering wheel clockspring i was like noooooooooooooooo! that is super annoying, but i am glad the headlights work correctly without too much faff. with the bodykit its gonna look fat! i mean PHAT! looking forward to more updates for sure, i love this channel!
One of the only reasons I come here these days to watch Mat's videos...such a pleasure to watch him battle against all odds at times, some victorious and some not but he just gets on with. Kudos to you mate 🙂

Personally prefer the W204 wheel on a W204 to be period correct, but nice job on making it work.

Mat, i bought the same car brand new back in 2014 when they got discontinued. I test drove one with the performance pack, but bought one without… unfortunately both cars didn’t drive the same… performance pack was better to drive as one of the features was a (Diff lock) red callipers and carbon lip spoiler. Check with mercedes parts or someone in MB, providing The chassis number of this car if it has the performance pack.. if not then Quaife engineering would install one or you could do it yourself?? Major difference on regular roads too!

Fecking awesome Matt! The Black kit completely changes the appearance of that model! Im sure you will get the steering wheel sorted but please get carbon trim for the rest of the interior to tie in that shexy steering wheel, will make a huge change to that easily scratched piano black option you have currently. Very excited to see your next video!

Great content as usual, Makes me smile how you strip all the parts down on the floor, need to get yourself a nice waist height bench on wheels with felt on the top.

Matt, you need to build yourself a large square bench and cover it in non slip carpet like material. will look cool when your filming and saves you bending down on the floor
I can see a supercharger being fitted to this when it comes down to the engine mods😉👌

I did this swap in my w204 c250d.
I used the original clock spring with the middle Mercedes’ wheel you had with the buttons to match your original wheel. That worked perfect and I didn’t need the clock springs off newer car
I had a white FL W204 C63 with PP for 4 years, had the interior redone in the 507 half alcantara trim and had a Eurocharge tune on it. Eventually sold it because it was getting too expensive to maintain (got a 8V2 RS3 sedan instead) but I miss it still. Looking forward to seeing you build this thing out! Also loved your S3 video by the way!

I have a c63 2012 facelift Coupe and looked into this.
As ever take with a pinch of salt as could be wrong as not done it yet.
You only need to change the column surround/clock spring on pre facelift the face lift has same as w205 and there is a crossover in period over lapping w204 and w205 where the a45 sits where it used the facelift w204 bits but with the newer wheel and interior that was then in C63 w205. Or something like that
So on facelift w204 you can put new style wheels on but they won't work as you need an adapter dongle that sits between clockspring and wheel loom. This then makes the buttons work.

You got lucky with the ballasts too as when we replaced ours on my uncles jaguar it also was a generic one used by many different car models, we ordered the one for a different car as it was half the price of a jaguar one and it lit up and worked fine but it disabled the headlight levelling and came with an error on that. But my uncles not fussed as long as it works and he can manually adjust the lights with a screw under hood then he not too bothered haha
For the back fenders use rollers to roll out the fender. It will do a decent amount to match the new bodykit front fenders. But it will take quite a while to do it so good luck but will be worth the end result

Matt if you didn't know, you can remap the throttle body on the c63 to make upwards of 500 hp. It's really simple and its how the e63 and the c63 black series make more power on the same engine.
Just finished swapping out an oil return pipe for my BMW f30, thank you for the inspiration. I also believe in fixing my own cars.
I actually changed my rear seats on a w204 and I think you had to put that round bit in before you put in the seat area so it could be locked in correctly.

My advise, remove the oil cooler fan. Its not much use, I have had my c63 for nearly 6 years, the fan has been off for atleast 2 years with no issue. Its actually better without it,it recovers better from hard drives.

Legend...... - Love the fact you got out of the seat before you turned it on!!!! Could of been the best ejector seat ever.... - P.S. the tint on the front windows will get you stopped instantly... just saying...
Further you might have to program the CIM to the car, security code etc to make sure you dont have immbolizer problems
good video and I would like to recommend you to buy special plastic tools to disarm all tha plastic stuff, so you would not damage the plastic parts. best regards

Great news Matt, i found someone finally who can fix/replace my turbo on my BMW, my car shall be ready in 2 weeks hopefully :), then i can drive with no issues
Matt! Did a steering wheel change on my Golf 5 with mfsw. My old one didnt have it. Had to code to get it working. Maybe you need to do something in line of the same to get your steering wheel working (after you get a good clock spring ofcourse)? Good luck my friend, love the vids every time!

Mat, I am sure I’m wrong BUT it looks like, when re-attaching the bottom of the drivers seatbelt you wound it in with your finger and snapped the cover on. We’ve all forgotten to tighten something but being a seatbelt I thought I’d make sure ! Probably just off camera but worth a mention as it seems continuous
