is that honestly still the best place for the board to go?? proper tucked behind the garage door rail? surely could of been moved to a better spot even with the maximum 3 metres of tails?
When working in a house which is occupied has it's challenges, may be adding extra circuits . I don't work in a house where owner done his own skirting and placed a nail through the showers cable lucky he missed the wires.
Nick have you used the Euro brush modules, this way you don’t need 5 RJ45 modules. Looks neat enough with them and you can take your data cables straight to the switch. Eliminating another joint from the RJ45 module to the switch using patch cables.
no the correct way is to terminate into a module / patch panel and use a patch lead, normal cat5 / 6 isn't designed to plugged in and unplugged multiple times. the way suggested increases the chance of failure
" It's day eleven in the rewire house and Nick is in the garage counting cables " . As soon as that old stuff is gone the new stuff will start to shine . Looking sweet .
Why not metal clad sockets and switches in the garage?
Less likely to be accidentally broken.
All round band for that bunch of cables, jobs a gooddun 😌
rewire day 74:
there isn't enough space to open the garage door though with those boards in the way 🤣
Monster of a job Nick. Good work
monster of a job lol??? its a simple re wire he's made very difficult for himself flying solo lol
I LIKE the idea of a separate board for outside stuff, may nick heh that idea

How did you repair... given just sheathing damage. I'd use self amalgamating tape
Love the vids mate keep it up 👍
Did you ever post a link to the heat shrink labels?.
The new brother ones aren't compatible, so if you have an amazon link please share it with me. 😁
cracking job Nick

I think its time for an adam 2.0 😂
or hire adam 1.0 as he does :)
he likes adam's mum
You good job !
do you stick future circuits into the earth bar (leaving slack) or just tape em off?
Imagine if everything would have been in conduit from the beginning 😮
Nick what are the smoke alarms wired in?
It’s just red twin and earth mate
@@NBundyElectrical Never seen that in 35 years mate.
Why not just use cable basket fixed to the side of the joist, fire proof 5 mins to fix and tidy
Not a comment on the electrics but, does this house have any insulation??
old build so likely minimal
Need to get yourself a new apprentice mate
Should of got me in there I'd of helped smash it out.💪😎
Another great video Nick you must have looked at yourself in the mirror because you washed your face half way through 😂😅😊😂😅😊
And a narky IT second 😂
ALL mdf is fire retardant, but fire resistant is another thing
not retardant when chucked in the log burner 🤣😂🤣
Takes time to do a thorough job anyone can lash cables in no fcuk given and move on fait play to your ethics and diligence.
Would take you 4 days if you didn’t have to video your work lol
Please stop saying "these ones". It's just "these". Likewise, those, not those ones 🙄
Imagine a plumber liking viewing and commenting first (passion4plumbing)
