Yep, and probably their biggest downfall, thats why they went HIDrive in all their bigger machines, and later on went to planetary final drives in the smaller machines like IH & Telex did.

@rossgray3070 the D6D through D8K utilized double reduction spur gears while the D9H had planetary finals so did the high drive D8L D9L and D10 . Which they still use today.
