@@itspresro I mean, your humble setup could be a bit more humble by adding a $2000+ espresso machine to it, but other than that no further judgement your honor (see you on the sub, fellow jerker and coffee nerd ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)).
You have to measure the weight Dr. Preston! No point in spritzing + WDT needling if there is no consistency: stick to the basics - weight of coffee bean , pull time out, and temperature (if you can control for this), and weight of coffee liquid. Stick to a traditional 20-30 second (this is more of a reference, can deviate from it later down the line). Lighter roast -> higher temp, vice versa. I think with a Breville Bambino there are 3 settings with 2nd key being 200F (that's kinda too hot). Also keep it at 8-9 bars of pressure (that with bambino is going to be hard so let's ignore this) - Med Coffee Student will happily stay in the loop for consult in the meantime
#coffee Current brew inconsistent, suspect weight related issues. Mainstay of treatment will be application of standardized protocols. - firetas123 following, will appreciate recs
Espresso making got me through residency and fellowship. Went deep in the rabbit hole. Now I make espresso daily in the office with a picopresso and 1zpresso grinder. Enjoy!
Hey man, love the videos. If you are going deep with WDT and spraying your beans to reduce static, you owe it to yourself to weigh your espresso out. This will allow you to dial your beans in more accurately and make a better coffee. Aim for a 1:2 ratio of ground coffee to liquid espresso over 25 - 30 seconds. Why are you using 13g of coffee? Are you using the single shot basket?

@@itspresro just a joke, adding menthol to tobacco like adding chai to coffee. I guess it's supposed to be a bit derogatory, like saying someone doesn't actually like coffee if they have to put it in chai. Ex-barista snobbery, meant to be tongue-in-cheek.
Lexapro shirt goes hard
"I wish I could make coffee quicker in the morning" - me while hoarding my 5th uni-tasker coffee appliance
Your steps to prepping the espresso including eyeballing the weight and the "supposedly this distributes it evenly" is exactly how I do it too 😂
Never thought I'd seen an espresso video from Preston. This is a pleasant surprise.
that's some crazy pharma merch. All I get are tylenol branded pens. I'll take 10
I need this tshirt
When I was in elementary school in the 90s a Catholic nun gave my family Celexa post-it notes
Not the Lexapro swag shirt! 😂
In the realm of tea/spresso combos, I would recommend what I call a "London Smog." A shot of espresso goes incredibly well in a London Fog! :D
How do you make s London Snog?
I have a feeling that preston follows r/espresso and r/espressocirclejerk
I do (please don’t judge me)
@@itspresro Think you need to grind finer.

This is so involved! Now I feel a bit ridiculous for complaining about the extra work of having to use a strainer for my loose leaf tea lol
I didn't know an espresso setup was what I needed within the Preston portfolio of videos but I so did!!

@@itspresro I’ll start drinking enough water every day!
But that Lexapro shirt this is hilarious
What's the rationale behind using the frother instead of using the steam wand on the bambino to make the foam?
For me it's faster haha. The quality of the foam is defs different though
Easier to clean
I might go into psychology just for the pharma merch
that's that pres espresso
Espresro? (Launches new coffee channel )
