I find it hilarious that almost no one knew she existed before this wedding (at least from the standpoint of the public at large). Looks to me more like a PR stunt orchestrated by her and related entourage, particularly if you think about the Vogue photoshoot and the whole Chanel branding, not that there would be anything necessarily negative about it if that was the case. Not sure who is labelling that wedding as an example of quiet luxury, but they probably need to get their eyesight checked, because they missed the whole bunch of logos splattered on every available surface…

Really liked your analysis on this! I felt the same, it was strange that all of a sudden everyone’s talking about this wedding and Sofia, and people calling it the “royal wedding” of the year or something like that… it is strange how much publicity this had, and I actually this wedding was basically broadcasted on vogue and social media. It’s strange because many celebs or very wealthy people are quite private with their lives and especially with such an intimate moment like getting married. I agree that this all feels very well orchestrated but not very personal or emotional for some reason, feels like social media or PR took centre stage and not the actual getting married part!
Also, like you said, not sure what Chanel’s involvement is in all this, it does feel like a giant sponsored event! Similarly the timing with the Met Gala theme. Feel that suddenly there’s a lot more desire and positivity around Chanel recently 🤔 i do love Chanel so not complaining
Yes, it looks like a clever scheme to win back some public interest in the brand again - because recently on social media, a lot of younger people have been speaking ill of the Brand's decisions and goods.

Very interesting video. Vogue has a lot to do with this (and who gets showcased at the met gala) her fittings were featured etc and the wedding was heavily covered by Vogue. I wonder if she was at the gala I didn’t see her? There is obviously a campaign to promote her as an A lister in her own right but it’s not clear who is driving it. Maybe she’s becoming an ambassador for Chanel? I love the white bag but it would have been better without the ribbon, just the textured camilia for longevity. I thought what you said about it not being quiet v loud it’s more that her look is demure, classy. Love your Chanel sweater fab!!
Thanks Rachel! It seems like she may be recruited as being a Chanel ambassador. She's young, pretty, and now well connected. Also, so many are viewing this wedding as organic and her approach to social media different from her Kardashian competitors. But if we notice, the influencing was very much front and centre! Especially for the makeup brand she's a beauty director for!

The price was not that bad what $12000+ i means this is exactly why people loose touch with reality. A lot of the population dont even make that and we are talking about quiet luxury, when in this case is i believe more expensive. Seriously I love my few designer pieces but like I said espending that much money is unreal. I cannot believe what higher end brands are doing.

This is very interesting to me… as far as her esthetic evolving, look at Kate Middletons style in college and when she met William 😲. Also, the Kardashians 🤢 it seems that everyone is forgetting that Kim made Kardashian a tacky name from her fame beginning, which was her sex tape for her boyfriend that was oops leaked. 😉😉 That put her name out there, and she was dirty town from then on. Her father was a high price lawyer (OJ Simpson) trial, so the family had that notoriety, but Kim is the one that put them on the map, and Playboy, then TV, then drama, blah blah blah

Yes, style often changes as mature. I certainly didn't pay a whole lot of attention to my style while in school 'cause making the grade was my priority. Also, you tend to adopt the casual style of your peers. Oh yes, Kim! Yup, we all knew how it started lol. She's stunning too, by the way, regardless of if she's had work done lately. But they have come a long way. Kanye really got her on the map in fashion world.
i think some social media ppl that were in attendance are close to the family. for example Amelia is in a relationship with one of the grooms close friends but they probably had approval to post freely about the wedding as they did.

It's obvious she had a nose job as some articles speculate, by comparing with old photos in which her nose clearly resembles her biological father more than it does now. As you said, money does a lot.
So I think it would be a bit inaccurate to say that she's all natural and so on.
But in any case I think her wedding was beautiful and I'm glad she's happily married now after those hard years with Scott Disick. Maybe she learned many lessons from that experience though.
Wow! I guess her surgeon is really good! Although, I think when the public follows people when they are younger and then see them as adults, there is speculation about plastic surgery. But it could also be age itself -like I know my face definitely changed a bit from when I was a teen - I grew into my nose! But! Knowing her background and where she lives, I wouldn’t be surprised if she had work done. It’s seen as so normal in places like LA.

I feel like there is something else going on here with this viral wedding.. just strange that people are suddenly obsessed with this person. I don't see what is aspirational about her, besides the fact that she is young, rich and pretty I suppose. She seems a bit bland tbh, sorry if that sounds mean, I am just very sceptical about this. It feels way to well orchestrated that her Tiktok posts start just before her wedding and she is now posting frequently. Like there is some kind of strategy to position herself as the new 'it girl' and Chanel etc. are all on board for the mutual benefit
I feel this is also very orchestrated as well! She's positioned herself as another influencer! Using a strategy that a lot of people use - post a wedding/engagement on social media that goes super viral then harness that following for your influencer business venture after!

Interesting use of the word “vulgar” here. I watched your quiet luxury video. I just want to preface this by saying I’m a fan of yours and I enjoy your content but do you find your choice of the word vulgar a bit contradictory to your explanation in the previous video?
Not trying to pick on you specifically but just the whole topic of quiet luxury vs loud and the associated “projections” that each “team” thinks the other is associated with ie people who like quiet luxury think head to toe logos is vulgar (not necessarily attached to amount of exposed skin) vs logomaniacs think quiet luxury people are boring, uptight and stingy.
At the end of the day I see it as some people who like to be noticed esp for their wealth and some people that don’t want people to notice them easily for their wealth? But both camps could have old and new money. As with everything in life the whole argument is just generalizations and completely pointless. (Not saying your content was pointless)

Great question. So “vulgar” isn’t necessarily a reflection of quiet vs loud luxury. Even if this wedding didn’t incorporate designer brands, the looks were very classic, modest, and not very revealing in terms of skin. Like she was very covered up in contrast to her style before. That’s what I think people were attracted to. Because this wedding wasn’t “quiet” by any means - it was definitely very extravagant with designer pieces and logos everywhere! But people are confusing “quiet” with being modest. You can be classic with loud or quiet luxury. Hopefully that makes sense!
Oh yeah, and I 100% agree these are all sweeping generalizations!
