I really enjoyed this video, it broke down what was previously a nebulous term, almost synonymous with "you'll figure it out", into an actual, functional, defined term that I can then implement. The functional example of the "your enemies are not pushing out for the post-plant. This is a big red flag for a possible flank" was a very good real-world example. That took game sense from the already-improved position of being a "defined term" to the even better "functional, actionable concept". So not only do I have a better understanding of what game sense is as a concept, but I also know how it works, how to use it, and how to improve it, based on this example. Hopefully, I will get some more time to review my gameplay to work on doing these logical analyses of what's going on around me. At this point, I still have to take a lot of time to carefully explain to myself what is happening, in order to properly internalize those patterns and develop my game sense in a more long-term way, which unfortunately means I can't really do it as well mid-game. This is something that I know will take some time to work on, but this video has definitely reduced that time significantly, allowing me to analyse my gameplay properly and efficiently. Thank you guys so much for making such a helpful and comprehensive video!
I always love reading these kinds of comments! I strongly agree that this is one of the best videos on the subject that I've ever seen. As a CoD player, it really gave me insight as to how to improve my games, and like you, I have a better grasp of what game sense is. Now that there is a solid framework to use to analyse my games and make better decisions, getting better game sense isn't as difficult a process as I initially thought it to be. As soon as I saw concepts from Game Theory brought into the video, I knew this was going to be some serious business, haha. I'm all about that scientific and mathematical approach to things that I do, so it was really great to know that I could apply the mathematical concept of Game Theory into my matches. I plan to do more of that going forward. I'm not even the uploader, but I'm really glad someone got something out of this video. These types of videos tend not to do really well, unfortunately, because a ton of people just want to play without having to think too much -- which is completely okay; I'm not bashing anyone that doesn't want to have to think too much during a gaming session. I guess I'm just glad to know that there's someone that takes joy in thinking deeply about stuff. Or maybe I'm just a crazy person, haha! Who knows?!
riot cant make a replay system because it would usually help you reveal where the enemy was camping so the message can be relayed to your team making the replay disadvantageous to the killer.
i love how my teammates always win 2 rounds on a then decide to go b and then i press v just to say we won 2 rounds on a why go b exploit the weakness till they fix it
because since they went a for 2 rounds in a row they bet that probably one more player went a this round to prevent a from falling. so they go b to counter that. thats my opinion
It’s better to be unpredictable. Going to the same site over and over isn’t optimal, because then you’re predictable and the enemy team gets smart. Mix it up and it’ll be harder for the enemy to counter you.
@@strawberryfieldsforever482 as a person who struggles with that same thing i know that and i try to implement that but it just gets to me every single time and then ruins my gameplay tru the whole game :c and it makes me sad bc i started gaming a year ago and i reaaaaally enjoy it

I would love to see some of the same videos you guys do for League when it comes to "what is the best option here" after presenting the audience with in game scenarios. Those things are really fun and hell me see the level at which my game sense is
We might be able to try that in the future, but it's kind of hard to represent that in Valorant. The reason here is that Valorant is an imperfect information game to a stronger degree than in League. As such, it's hard to do those kinds of questions because there's a lot of context that goes into each decision and more often than not, there are multiple ways that are good options. Meanwhile in League, it's usually a bit more cut and dry which decisions are correct because it has less imperfect information.
I'm immortal and there's still so much I don't know about game sense the skill curve is so huge. I'm really capped atm and don't know what to do to improve my game sense even further.
You just explained what these terms are and explored how it's applied. Nothing about how to actively improve it, just reflect and make better logical decisions? Something more practical on how to improve game sense would be more helpful in my opinion moving forward.
There's no easy way to learn Game sense except to be conscious of what it is and logically think. Everything is contextual and there's no shortcuts to becoming better at it. That's why many better players just say "play the game." The fast way is to actively think about your gameplay and problem solve to understand more about how the game functions. No one can teach you game sense really, you can only learn how to get it.
for me i think of game sense as logic even calling it game logic. i was playing with friends and me and sova are left on split defender side B site (i was breach) and sova shoots an arrow which spots nothing. i then deduct he is sitting in that corner of split B site and use my fault line and by luck i hit him giving sova a free kill. he then asks how i knew and how i got a direct hit with my E to which i simply reply "Logic". Having logic and then applying that to something is my way to handle some of my real life problems so i simply apply that to valorant.
