about the rap in "tomboy", soyeon said that at first the rap was in korean, but cube was against it because it was too rude, so soyeon changed her mind and made it easy english so her fans could sing along during concerts🤘
Yeh, things changed after the loss of Soojin. Conservative Korea passed judgement (without all the facts) and cancelled her. So, from that point, Soyeon started turning the mirror back onto Korean society with her title tracks. Soyeons rap in Tomboy about drinking whiskey, smoking cigarettes, hanging out with freinds, are some of the things that Soojin was shamed about doing while in middle school. Being "Nxde" is about being your true self. Stripped free of pretense. Not trying to be what is expected but just being yourself. "Even if I'm not loved any more, yes I'm nude" (This is me)... "How do I look"? Then "Queencard" is about not spending your time trying to be perfect like the people on social media because they aren't perfect and happy either. Just be confident in yourself and love yourself the way you are... then you will be a queen. Of course, each of the songs goes much deeper that my simple explanation, but these are the gist of it. You can find entire video's that explain the meanings on youtube that go much deeper.
Btw, lion is apart of their title tracks! Soyeon made it in less than two weeks for queendom, and she worked her ass off to make it, I’d say it’s up there with their best songs!
Tomboy, Nxde, and Queencard are all such high concept that the public didn't understand them at first. Each release was immediately misunderstood and sparked a lot of negative comments until people took the time to understand the song and message then they each turned into massive hits... each bigger than the one before. Tomboy MV hit 100M views after 46 days, 200M views after 308 days. Nxde hit 100M views after 17.5 days (Fastest for 4th gen) and 200M views after 181 days (4th gen fastest). Then Queencard hit 100M after 18.25 days and then smashed the 200M views record after just 90 days. Music show wins for each song were Tomboy(7), Nxde(11), and Queencard(13). Next album will come at the end of 2023 and will be a FULL album like "i never die" was.
@@siballin Yep... they dropped "i love" last year right after coming off their world tour. They had almost 1000 individual schedules last year and said they are going for 2000 this year. They said it jokingly but I wouldn't be surprised.
Even among Neverlands song rankings are wildly different due to the huge variety of the discography. Everyone has their favorite type of music and (G)I-dle has something for everyone.
the part where she said "eh on drinking whiskey" the uncensored version was "s3x on drinking whiskey". they only ever sing the uncensored version on concerts lol and they say the f word
Both I-dle and (G)I-dle work. The girls say "(G)I-dle" when speaking English but when they speak Korean they say "I-dle" so either pronunciation is fine. I switch between the 2, whichever comes first in my head is the one I say.
Did i miss the lion mv reaction somewhere? Haha i havent listened to their new album b sides yet but i hope they still have songs similar to the Hann trilogy. My personal fave. XD
BTW, Soojin left the group right after the HWAA era was filmed, due to bullying accusations being thrown at her, so the company, CUBE Entertainment, practically made her leave for the group's sake. #RememberSoojin! 💜 😔 ❤ 😊
youy should still react to lion, you said it isnt apart of their work, but soyeon worked her ass of to produce lion and in many people's opinions (mine too) lion is their best song
Pretty sure both are correct. The name 'Yuqi' is pronounced as Yu-ki in chinese. Not sure about the origin of Oogie or woogi but this is what she uses as an idol in korea. Korean pronounciation maybe? Haha not sure. Kindly let us know.
In Korea they say oo-gi, in china they say yu-chi but she really doesn't seem that fussed even if people called her Yu-ki so I don't think we need to be too fussed either

MY BAG is waiting 😏
Add “My bag” dance practice since you love hip hop
You are the 1st that mention about their freety to creat their songs under Cube that I think they may not to do like this for the Big company.
Yeah same bro Chaewon looks like Soojin here in Dumdi dumdi 😊
You're right. And it:s also mean they sincere to talk their life as open their mind.
Great reaction 👍 more (G)I-DLE 🔥
you need to see` my bag performance video` asap

Ok, thanks for clearing that up! 🫡
@@siballin no problem. I see a lot of people saying it's only I-dle but the girls say both, so I say both
yuqi solo "bonnie & clide" "giant"

Hwaa is number 1 in my book.
It's pronounced Yu-ki but spelled as Yuqi, not pronounced as Oogi, geeze laweeze.
wrong. watch any video of the girls interacting (there are tons) and the members all call her "oogie" or "Woogie".

Not so sure of that! Like, how would you know? You don't live with them, lol.
