    Bought mine for $285 from Micro Center. Works perfectly with my 2060 Super. Able to hold a solid 240 fps with most games. I too enjoy the Cross Hair overlay feature. Nvidia Control Panel on PC picked up the monitor and was able to set the Hz settings through the PC.
    Personal opinions/advise: If you are a gamer: Choose Hz over Resolution, 1080p on a 27" screen is more than enough to be ultra clear and to say otherwise is laughable, I do not play competitively but 240 fps isn't noticeable at first, but after playing on 240 for a while and then lowering it to sub 175 you will notice it very clearly (at least I do now). Do not buy the alternative LG 27GL83A-B 1440p 140hz monitor. 1440p resolution is completely overkill for 27" and you'd be sacrificing the one thing that can give you an advantage in gaming, the 240Hz. The higher FPS are worth it once you experience it for a while.
    My only complaint that I have is that the screen doesn't dim as dark as I would hope, stays kinda bright even at lowest setting. Also, I wish the legs on the stand weren't so long, maybe an inch shorter would have been nice.

    • @TrentonMichael
      @TrentonMichael  5 лет назад +1

      Ugur Sunlu thanks, Ugur! Before the GSYNC option will appear in the NVidia control panel, you’ll need to enable Freesync from the monitor interface. The NVidia software will then detect that in the signal from the monitor and you should then see the GSYNC option appear in the NVidia control panel.

    Picked it up on sale today for $250. Do you happen to know what hz output is on the HDMI port? Is it 60hz or higher? Lastly, is the 240hz out of the box? No need for any weird monitor overclocking?

    • @TrentonMichael
      @TrentonMichael  5 лет назад

      OverlookeDEnT from what I remember reading, the HDMI 2.0 port should support it. However, the spec sheet on LG’s site only shows 240hz next to DisplayPort but does not list any refresh rates for HDMI 2.0. You using it with PC or console? And yes, 240hz out of the box. I just had to set my PC to display 240hz in the NVidia software. I am using DisplayPort, too.

    • @TrentonMichael
      @TrentonMichael  5 лет назад

      Amazon has this monitor for $300 (after shipping) but I've noticed that BeachCamera had two more open box specials for $200 this past weekend. Those are, unfortunately sold now, but it's the second time in less than a month that they've had those open box specials in stock. For $200, it's an absolute no-brainer of a deal, and I'd definitely purchase this monitor for gaming if I were you. As for colors, they aren''t limited to me...at least for a TN panel. I haven't noticed any obvious banding either. As for IPS panel comparison, I have my LG 27UD68 4k IPS monitor sitting next to the LG 27gk750, and the 27UD68 is definitely richer in color, vibrancy, and contrast...but looking back at the 27GK750 doesn't make me dislike what I see...it just seems like the contrast is knocked down a bit and maybe just slightly desaturated when compared to the IPS panel next to it.

      Gaming Expert Kartik there is tearing if your GPU cannot output up to 240 FPS. However, if you take advantage of the latest g-sync update you can utilize variable refresh rates and that will get rid of any tearing no matter the FPS your GPU is out putting. 240hz is absolutely worth it for me. As for colors I have seen better pictures out of the box but I’ve used the NVidia control panel software to correct the colors on the monitor. Now colors match my LG IPS panel pretty closely.

Now the problem I am facing is I can't really enjoy the real performance of my new gpu since my monitor only support 144hz on a DVI-D cable and my GPU doesn't have a DVI-D cable it has DP, HDMI and a USB port. Right now I am really confused, I don't know in which monitor I should invest. Could you please confirm if this monitor supports 240hz on DP as well as the HDMI. Konztantin since it is 27” at 1080p, the PPI is roughly 81. Pixels are noticeable in web browsing, text, documents, and sometimes photos. Konztantin 81 isn’t considered a lot nowadays. 1080p is best suited for 24” - 25” screens. If it’s something that may bother you, I’d say to get a 1440p resolution monitor with 144 hz refresh rate.
      Have a quick read/glance through this article: www.google.com/amp/4k.com/resolution/amp/

      al ram it depends on the power of the GPU that your laptop has installed. If you’re able to achieve high frame rates in games (up to 240fps) then yes you should be able to take advantage of the 240hz refresh rate. One thing I am not totally sure about is if HDMI 2.0 (vs DisplayPort) connection will output 240hz. I haven’t been able to confirm and test this yet. But if your laptop has DisplayPort you should be golden. To enable 240hz, your laptop should have a piece of software (either AMD or NVidia) from which you can set your display to 240hz refresh rate.

      @@TrentonMichael I got it from B&H online during the black Friday sales week. It took long to ship because they didn't have any in stock so I waited like 3 weeks. I just got it in like 4 days ago and its dope! Subbed bro.

      Bad Player that’s awesome to hear. $200 for a 240hz monitor is unheard of at this point. I’m glad a few people were able to jump on those deals this past holiday season. Enjoy it! Thanks for the sub, as well! Let me know if you like me to review anything else.

      @@TrentonMichael yup and can you do a review on a keyboard like the ducky one 2 mini. IF you want to do it, I'd be glad to watch. Thank you.

      @@Damian-pi9wq Thanks for the suggestion. I actually have that keyboard in my sights but it's back ordered so far out until mid-feb. I may just put the pre order in to get on the list. Otherwise, I've been considering trying out the Fnatic Mini Streak TKL from Best Buy.
