I would say Yes..ish, Surprisingly there's been a lot of NES and SNES games in the library while the GBA N64 and GB are still building up but still have potential. Also to be completely honest paying $50 every December Is honestly not that terrible or alternatively, if you want to save some cash, I would say go for the standard $20 version. Lastly and I know this isn't relevant to switch online but I want and wish Xbox and PlayStation membership to have the exact same price as Nintendo switch online, It could definitely help both Sony and Microsoft get a lot of people online and help their membership.
Oh, funnily enough, you would get your wish just a month after the video came out with the Megaman Gameboy Games. And GBA as well also got its roses within the 2 months after the video’s release as there had been Link to the Past+Four Swords, Metroid Zero Mission (with the Fusion Link content included) and as of yesterday (at the time of writing), the Densetsu no Stafy/Starfy GBA trilogy.
Outside of North America the expansion pack is actually cheaper, being 40€ or the local equivalent (base NSO being 20€) so double the price instead of even more It's weird that it is so much more expensive in the United States and Canada than everywhere else
I really like the service now. Does it have as much content and value as something like PS Plus? Of course not. But I still really like it. Awesome video!
I do feel that the classic games are what bring the most value to the service as they have a pretty good lineup of them throughout the various consoles included, and the special offers are pretty neat too. It's the online itself that's more mixed since sometimes it can good, sometimes decent, an sometimes awful like with Super Mario Maker 2 like you mentioned. I personally just use the service to play games online though since I don't really play older games all of that much if they aren't remade or remastered for the modern day (yes I'm one of those people. I'm sorry lol), so I just use the base tier service
The term “Dripfeed” no longer works as this service had been getting consistent games for 2+ years now, if it was say 2020 or before December 2021, then yeah, Dripfeed would be a perfect term, nowadays? Not so much, since there had been at least 1 update a month, the issue here, is a lack of advanced notice and them preferring to shadow drop games instead.

As a Nintendo sucker I'll pay for the service and not use it but the moment I don't pay for it will miss it

Actually animal crossing has its own cloud save within the game so it’s mainly just pokemon without any form of cloud save…..
