Bro I wish I had your ability to explain the complexities of the simple pentatonic you created an absolute brilliant improvisational formula for beginners truly amazing brother thank you for that
I learned this pattern years ago but didn't know what to do with it.. I just learned to start it anywhere on the first string last night.... Now I see this. SMH. I'll follow so I don't wait years to learn something else. 😅
There's a lot of ways to check for the key. Usually the song will end on the chord that shares the name of the key, and it will often be used the most during the song. If you're reading sheet music, you can tell by the number of sharps/flats in the key signature. You could also just try moving the scale around to hear where it sounds good, but this will take training your ear a bit. If all else fails, you can just Google what key the song is in. Hope this helps!
Hey y’all, he said that wrong. That’s not the pentatonic scale. It’s only the first position of that scale. Don’t think that that’s it, because it isn’t. There are five “positions” of that scale and it’s all one scale. I was confused about this for years because of info like this
This is the best way ive seen this explained well done
Thanks!

I’m pretty sure he said it was a pentatonic scale shape. Not the entire pentatonic scale. Put on your listening ears.
before learning scales learn to tune your guitar😂😂😂😂
