  • History of Ramen:
Ramen is one of the most beloved Japanese dishes, but its origins trace back to China. This noodle dish was introduced to Japan in the late 19th or early 20th century by Chinese immigrants. At that time, wheat noodles served in a broth became popular as a cheap and quick meal for laborers.
Initially, ramen was known as "Shina Soba" (literally "Chinese noodles"). The word "ramen" is believed to come from the Chinese term "lā miàn", meaning "hand-pulled noodles.
Ramen became popular nationwide, with each region developing its unique style:
    Shoyu Ramen: Soy sauce-based
    Miso Ramen: Miso-based
    Tonkotsu Ramen: Pork bone broth-based
    Shio Ramen: Salt-based, lighter flavor
