  • As an expat man living in the Philippines, if you're in love with a Filipina you really should do something to protect your Filipina's future for after you die. If you don't, you're an arsehole (asshole). In this walk and talk through the little farms near my house, I talk about the realities of three different ways of doing that.

    I think as a guy it’s very important for us to think about the financial future for our wife. I built a house for my fiancé and she has her own business. If something were to happen to me then she has a good financial security for her future. I’m 48 and she is 42. I do wonder about some of the retirees who are totally dependent on social security and whose wife will not receive any of it when the guy dies. A RUclipsr said if he died in 10 years (38 year age difference) she would have at least 500k pesos. I said I didn’t feel that was nearly enough for her future.

      Yeah Neil, that's not enough. It would get swallowed up by her family in a day or two.

    Hi AJ. Great ideas for supporting your Filipina ❤. I enjoyed seeing the countryside where you are living. Is this mountainside location very close to Dumaguete and Valencia? I like all the banana plants and palm trees. Do those banana plants produce edible bananas?

    • @ajphilippineexpat
      @ajphilippineexpat  Год назад +1

      Yeah but many are cooking bananas. Im in Cantil-e near the edge of town and love the countryside near here, great for walks.

      @@ajphilippineexpat I enjoyed your video showing the natural landscape. I see, so those bananas are mostly for cooking. I’m Canadian living in the countryside of Japan for over 12 years now and am considering a move to the countryside of the PHs. Just curious, I haven’t decided on a location yet, but just wondering, is it easy to find low-cost, smaller homes with some land to rent in your area? Have a good weekend.

      @@ShikokuFoodForest maybe, but more land with lower cost is usually further away from the cities.

      @@ajphilippineexpat Thanks! I might check out Bacong, Dauin or Valencia or could be more a rural location. I’m looking for perhaps +/-300~500 square meters of land with a small house.

    No matter what age difference, if you die you want your wife better off than before. Best thing is education, so she can make good decisions for her future life. That doesn't mean loads of money in her favour. It means that she knows how to deal with her life, can make a living on her own. You can provide a safety net for her if she wants to try several things to make Money and a living. I think that is what women like all over the world. The difference for pinays is, that they will always share if they can, that's beautiful 😁👍

    You have NO say in protecting your Filipina’s future after you are dead! Money is not protection! ONLY God can protect your Filipina after you are dead. Big money inheritance’s only destroy lives! That’s a historical fact! Trust ONLY in Christ Jesus!
