You can actually hear the suspension thudding into the cabin just driving gently down the road. It should ride like a Rolls for that money and tech involved. McLaren showed way back with the MP4 12C that you can make even a supercar ride well.
The camera is ingenious but it’s a really simple idea - point a camera in the drivers mirror outwards, and then show that view on screen when you are looking from the passenger side towards the driver side. “An idea so simple, only a genius would have thought of it”

I was amused that in the 360 degree display, the Land Rover parked in front of the Q8 looked twice as large on the display whereas the car behind appeared to be the same size as the Q8 - now that really IS witchcraft! LOL! I love the lines of the Q8 but really feel this is something that needs a big powerful V6 or V8 petrol engine to complete the package. Shame that the ride is jiggly even in comfort mode, though.
All I can say is WOW.....and I thought the Q2 had an ugly front end....then I saw this! lol That said, I know big vulgar SUVs are the current fashion trend so I'm sure it will sell, especially with footballers, drug dealers and rich Arabs. Another big ugly gas guzzling SUV is the last thing the world needs but I suppose that is befitting of the times in which we now live. :-/

Throwing shade at the X6 was uncalled. Saying the X6 is weird looking only emphasizes the Q8 has nothing noteworthy that stands out from the X6. It’s similar to a kid hating broccoli cause it’s “stupid”. If I worked at BMW, it would be a while before Carfection would review one of our cars again.

Well done guys, another high quality production...about a pointless car. As you suggest it will be bought by people who, frankly, don't need such a thing. An 'SUV for the city', for folks who maybe could get away with something smaller and less expensive (more fun to drive too?). Which, at launch as you say, will have a diesel engine: a direction VW are already steering clear of for reasons we're all well aware of. Then there's the 'essence of a coupe' notion, a concept which is not new for cars of this type, but no less absurd for the passage of time. How about the price point and aspirational element to cars like this? Nobody who buys one of these will want the entry version, as again you mention with comparisons to Porsche, Range Rover and even the Beemer X6 (why and who would want one of those in the first place?), but if you're of a mind to buy a badge, surely the Porsche and Range Rover carry more weight. So who is this Audi for? Mr/Mrs 'I can't afford a Bentayga'? I know I'm walking the line here. I know this script has been read many times before by your petrolhead diehard/enthusiast/fanboy. But this car is not just pointless for being an over-sized, over-priced, ugly monstrosity. It is now a dinosaur in the world of cars as much as a Buick Le Sabre from the 1970s. Could it be that they're finally moving away from the "gaping maw" grill?? It will be hard to wean Audi off the huge grill, so here they've got the garish aluminum trim to enhance the diminished snarl. One must appear menacing. Mustn't one?
Although the technology in Audi cars is always ahead of the game, i feel like their interior is so boring and is never updated. Updating the gauge cluster to digital and updating the screens and infotainment system is great but the rest of the interior is usually the same style seats and the same leather pattern with the same hard plastics in the same places. I have had 2 Audi's, a 2008 model and a 2015 model and i really didn't notice a difference in the interior, it literally felt the same even though the cars were years apart. I have been looking around for a new SUV and i am definitely considering steering away from the Q7 and Q8 for this very reason. Mercedes Benz, BMW, Porsche, and even Range Rover have been stepping up their game when it comes to the Interior aspect. Everyone has displays for gauge clusters and everyone has phenomenal, well thought out infotainment systems and all off these companies have better interiors. More intricate leather work, more comfortable seats, and a wide variety of interior styles to choose from. Audi has to really make some changes to their interior if they want to seriously be competitive again and this does not mean slapping "S Line" badges to give it a "sportier look".
BMW introducted that outside camera more than a YEAR ago. Arent you guys supposed to be up to date with such info. Come on cannot be telling stuff that isnt true.

Seems like the camera does composite mapping using images from both sides of the car to stitch together the view as though the camera were facing inward. Also, love that the Range Rover in front of you was HUGE on the display.
If audi makes a RS version of this I would honestly take it over the Lamborghini urus

I have a thing with frameless door window on cars. I just like it. Especially the four door: CLS, A7, some old gen Impreza...etc etc.
A cheap Urus thats what it is .. however it looks much better than BMW and Merc products in this segment ..

This is an SUV that id actually want to buy. Looks amazing, got top of the line tech and seems like it drives well too.
Best looking SUV in the market in my opinion love the slanted angles its even more beautiful in real life. BTW its already at the dealers in germany!
