Q7 has 7 seating + more cargo space/height so went with it vs Q8. The Q8 does look better and the tech is much better as well. They drive exactly the same. Get the adaptive air suspension with all wheel steering option either one you buy
No, I checked out a Q8 the other day, for me it lacked shoulder room quite badly to the point I’d count it out for purchase. The Q7 from recollection has plenty, been a while since I sat in one though...
Being a loyal Audi customer for over 25 years... when buying an Audi, rule no.1, never buy a new Audi just released because they always have lots of issues. Like the new touch panels, this is like the 1st generation you see Audi use them so my recommendation is to wait for a few more years until they fix all the issues. More likely, wait till the Q8 facelift.
Been waiting for a q6/q8 . In the meantime been driving a qx70 / fx35 , glc300 coupe , which is a perfect size for being 5’11” 250. Will definitely look into this. Had the q7 , just too long..
I cringed when he called it a truck, even the average joe knows those are regular suvs. U start calling suvs truck once u get to the full size ones, expedition, tahoe, escalades, 4runner etc etc. vehicles with there own platform / body on frame builds.
The reason it’s called a q8 is because they can’t charge more for a q6 than a q7 because since the q7 is a higher number then q6 they figured hey let’s call it a q8 so we can charge more for a smaller car.
I'm going to leave a bad review on their website, saying they lack the knowledge of automobiles to even differentiate from truck and a crossover/tall fucking wagon lol
I would buy a Toyota Sienna instead because I have three kids and one on the way. Right now, I drive a Toyota Paseo and my wife takes public transport.

My suggestion is don't buy either one buy a Mercedes here's why I bought a 2017 Q7 The front windshield wipers don't work in the cold because the front defroster isn't strong enough to defrost the window So the windshield wipers stick as you drive and you have to keep pulling over because you can't see with all the ice that builds up on the window So all wheel drive or 0 to 60 in whatever doesn't matter if you can't see The lane assist thinks snow ruts in the road are the lines in the road and pulls you into oncoming traffic The GPS Works 50% of the time most of time driving you in circles when you really need it You can't turn off the air conditioning another design flaw The car always asks you to re-authenticate the cell phone you've had since you bought the car so you have to go through the setup process every time you enter to the car I bought the rear DVD players from Audi they're called RSEs rear seat entertainment package what a joke they advertise that they play DVDs from the onboard Audi DVD player but they don't cost me $3,000 Audi says DVDs are old technology can only live stream from Netflix another $3,000 out the window because of all these lies all these car reviews are done when the conditions are perfect so of course they look like great cars but once you buy the Audi I guarantee you you'll regret it I have a Mercedes E550 and the windshield wipers work perfectly along with everything else very easy to use different animal than the Audi
I agree that it should have been called the Q6. I also agree that it is the perfect sized SUV for someone that dies not want a 3 row vehicle (though in every country but the US you can get a Q7 without a 3rd row). I just wish that the Q8 didn’t cost so much!
Q7 is a beautiful vehicle especially all blacked out - but I have to confess it looks like a station wagon. I even had a friend tell me she thought it looked like a mini van.....lol. Yikes. Many of these so called SUV if you ask me are really station wagons with all wheel drive. Not saying I hate it, but it just does not look like an SUV at all to me any more. This seems to be a trend for many brands. The Q8 is a stunner, but I don’t like the over use of touch screens for everything. Some controls are just better and easier to use while driving if they are manual switches. Trying to adjust climate control in the new Audi interior design language with almost everything on a touch screen is very distracting when driving. Yes it looks stunning when you get in the car and see all that bright and crisp screen real estate. But in my view it’s not the most practical. Also I liked the Audi screens that were not touch - much more intuitive and no slimy fingerprints to constantly clean....lol. And the MMI interface for non touch screen so easy to use when driving. I would choose the Q7 interior for that reason. Unfortunately all the luxury brands seem to be moving to all touch screen or over use of touch screens. They’re all doing it, it seems. But no denying the Q8 is a sexy vehicle and a worthy competitor for the similar high end models from BMW and Mercedes.
