About to plunge into the CNC world at the RC scale... Finally a video that lays out what my newbiebrain kept wrestling with, accuracy, precision, tolerances, tool and machining capabilities.
...like how is the tool made to cut inside/outside the line?
    - I quickly saw the need to create a combination of 2.5D sub pieces to build a 3D final object that the limitations of the tools prohibits as a one block creation.
    - I also dreamed of repositioning(he mentioned), as I would have to do that to design pieces that are bigger than the machine can handle.
    - One thing I also have thought of is how to get an inside corner to be square.
basically, a square piece can be made to fit inside a round one... tricky!
... This will work to a maximum precision as per the smallest tool that can be used,
and given the thickness of the surrounding material requirement.
so, run the small tool in a second pass, past the corner design until all the corner material
is removed and the small tool is driven by a distance of its radius past the actual
corner desired... that will leave an indentation in the corner that is 1/2 the width of the
small tool(clover leaf), and leave the inside fitting piece the space it needs to mesh squarely.
... or if possible, round the corner of the inside fitting piece to match the
    original outside piece rounded corner.
... or use another sawing/shaving tool to clean the corner, a specialized attachment
rotated in position on the same head.

The maximum depth of holes you recommend is 4x the diamater. OK. But then why do you go on to say 10x is typical? What does that even mean? Isn't that 2.5x higher than the maximum you recommend? That doesn't sound typical.

Yeah I just spotted that.... I think he's recommending 4x Tool diameter for hole depth for best results, but says 10x is typical and 40x is feasible. EDIT: yeah doesn't make sense. I just researched it and anything over 5x and you need to use peck drilling to remove swarf and then 7x you need to use special parabolic drills. You can go to 20x with gun drills. There were other errors in this video as well.

@@aries6776What is feasible is totally dependent on whether or not you have high pressure, through-spindle-coolant and through-tool coolant. 40x is not entirely uncommon these days in some applications.

Hi, great video! I just didn't understand one part-when you were recommending using a T-Bone undercut when 90 degrees corner is required. Could you please elaborate on what you mean by that?

I believe this was an error. What you can do is design in a relief pocket where the fillet eats into the corner. Slightly hard to explain. Only thing on this video I found that wasn’t very accurate.

You need to cut down on the hand movements. I know it's a psychological trick to attract attention, but I can't stand too much of it.

Nah, it's pretty obvious the more someone's hand moves while talking about something, the more authority they have on the subject.
