@@Imbecile_Moose94 I guess that’d make sense, but then why not add them back in the 8dx remake of it? It’s just strange, and it’s such a small change the only reason I noticed was bc of deja vu lol.
Three things about the 8DX version that I gotta give credit for: - Adding anti-gravity into the tube section. - Keeping the half-pipes. - Bringing back the river variation of the music. The original version is however still the best version because of its tube section.
The 8 Deluxe version of Koopa Cape is simultaniously better and worse than the 7 version. On one hand, I'd say the underwater section is a bit better, since it's got a half pipe and antigravity now. Not as fun as the enclosed tube with rushing water and electrical spinners, but not bad. It also got rid of that dumb glider section too. On the other hand, it's a massive visual downgrade. It doesn't look terrible, it's decent, but it pails in comparssion to it's predocessors. The river section is also a bit shorter than the original. It's still a great track at the end of the day, but it's definetly the weakest version of the track. I guess Koopa Cape is too hard for me to hate.
The wii version if the single greatest mario kart course of all time, 7's version was still S tier but not as good, Tour's version ruined it, 8's version is A tier but still underwhelming.
This video just made me realize how pathetically Mario Kart Tour tries to pander to young kids playing on mobile phones by emphasizing every happening in the game with the combo meter. It's so obnoxiously annoying and obvious that it panders to the low attention span of children. Yet, it detracts from a key element that made MK great - the soundtrack.

Dude, they wanted to incorporate the underwater raceing mechanic in 7 and it stuck around since, how have you not taken that into considerstion
The pipe is flooded in 7, tour, and 8 deluxe for lore reasons, probably a leak shattered the glass in the lore
Looked better with the gray rocks, but it's still ok in the MK8DX version.
Yeah, also I wonder why they removed those spinning electric things in the pipe section, it just seemed strange to me in the later games.

Koopa Cape is one of my favorite courses in the whole series! I think all versions of Koopa Cape are awesome!

Horrible remake
I used to play Mario Kart 7 back in 2015-2018. I've broke my 2DS in 2018 and got rid of it in 2021.
I wish Tour and 8 Deluxe didn't get rid of the big Koopa Troopa billboard.
It sucks how nintendo changed the montains in mk8 and mktour for me this is a horrible change
