This seemed like such a great cast at first, but they seriously spiraled the longer this show went on. Nico quit, Jamar gets kicked, Kyle gets kicked, Carol wants to leave. This is so pathetic lmao
You thought this was a great cast? Really? It was a manufactured cast to spin a specific narritive. The last few seasons have been all about 'checking boxes' - the only one we haven't seen this year is the in-yo-face black woman. The guys are extremes - either total creeps or total angels. The girls were cast to be background characters (except Minh-ly, who's the smartest idiot the show has ever seen). Watch the pre-season ET special, where you get in-depth interviews with each of them... it's total cringe, and I'm surprised Jamar lasted as long as he did.

The male casting in this series was absolutely appalling. More than half of them have been nothing less than repulsive. One of the few decent ones was voted off 'first', and the others are self-evict, KO, KO. Top-to-bottom, this is probably the weakest cast so far, but the guys are especially poorly chosen. Please don't manufacture a cast of heroes and villains for us. The players will take care of that themselves.

What decent one. BB america up for 22 years. BB Canada on season 8. These guys don't know what a backdoor is? Chris pulls off a genius backdoor and Mike acts so salty. He was whack.
I thought the men were pretty good this season. Sheldon was a gamer and was on a path to play amazingly this season, Jamar is an all time great character on any tv show, Chris was a lunatic and had lots of funny moments, John Luke played into the douchey surfer dude archetype and I loved it, hira is the lovable underdog just like Adel, even Kyle had a fun moment on the show. I think the two biggest duds left first and the game was just starting to pick up when it was shut down

I would argue that John Luke and his alliance, the Evictors, were good cast members. Its just unfortunate the rest dragged the show down.
In it's current form sure, as it's evolved into that, but it wasn't initially if you know the history of the game. It started off as a social experiment. The 1st US season is nothing like it is now. Besides people have a right to be upset if they are lied to. The issue at play in my opinion is game "ethics" what is right and wrong? There probably is not a correct answer.

It's hard to know what instigating means. I didn't watch the season and have only watched this clip but no one could push me to threaten someone elses life. If Kyle said something racial I understand. But some people can be instigating by just looking at them or disagreeing with them.

For anyone saying no ignorant/bigoted comments were directed Jamar’s way that we actually got to see to fuel his emotions, Carol literally made a comment that if Jamar stepped foot in PEI he would be met with the police looking for him. she delivered a half-assed apology after other houseguests of colour informed her of her ignorant comment and she made amends with Jamar to save face with the public watching (he demonstrated maturity in the fact that he didn’t even consider calling her out on that BS cuz that’s the reality of being Black in North America). Kyle demonstrated problematic behaviour throughout the season and is still battling his own demons only being drug free for a few years (baby steps in the long road to recovery) and said a lot of things that even feeders weren’t shown by production during cuts - as explained by Arisa more than once. If you’re from Toronto/the GTA you know the culture has been influenced by the streets (you’ve even got Drake saying crodie which is crip slang for anyone who doesn’t know). Jamar’s comments should not have been met with removal yet merely a warning, there have only been removals in North American Big Brother due to actual acts of PHYSICAL and clear-cut violence (BB2 Justin holds a knife to Krista, BB4 Scott throws objects around house and at houseguests, BB14 Willie Headbutts Joe) BBCAN should have followed suit and it is obvious that if Jamar looked like John Luke, he wouldn’t have even got a warning.

The casting is really bad and I am glad the season gets cancelled earlier. Most of players are immature no doubts. The good thing in CANBB is that the production team does not tolerate their behaviours and those playes got punished for what what they had done. In contrast, the US version is full of bullies, racist aggressive threatening and all add up makes me stoping watch BB anymore

Before you become a house guest. They need to be checked for vocabulary and use of the English language. BB Canada needs to do a better job if they want a broader and larger audience.
