Serious tip for people who struggle with water amount for your rice cooker. After you rinse the rice, stick your finger in the container of the rice cooker and make sure to add water equal to the volume of rice on top of the rice. So, after adding water, it should now be twice the height it was without water. Then leave it inside for 30+ minutes after turning it on.
A tip I learned for how much water you should put before you start the rice cooker, assuming you're using it and you don't have a cup or something. Take your hand and put it on the rice, kinda like you're about to grab a handful of rice. Don't actually grab a handful of rice. Instead, push your palm gently onto the rice (make sure your hand is centered). Look at how the water covers the length between your knuckles (the little bumps) and your wrist. If the water covers about half to three quarters of that length, then the water should be about good to put it in the rice cooker. Next time you cook rice, add or remove water as you see fit for your preference. Put more water for softer but stickier rice and remove some water for harder but less stickier rice.
