1957 GoldTop Les Paul Refret, Nut, Bridge

Vlog of a 1957 Goldtop Les Paul getting an overhaul. I do a refret, new nut, and a bridge replacement. I also discuss the reasons to do, and not to do certain steps in this process. Such a rare guitar, you do not want to do anything irreversible. This guitar was apparently regretted before, but the fret were clipped at the binding edge, rather than the tang tried to allow the bead to rest on top of the binding. TonePros bridge selected for being able to lock in place, and the nickel plating aged. I'll do another video on that down the road.

The word you are looking for with the clamp is a "caul"....
