In Monte yes that is true but in other rallys others are closer, but i think if he wanted to do full season again he would still be the favorite for the title.
Depends, in Monte Carlo? Sure. In some other rallies with loose surfaces like gravel or snow? He can falter behind. Especially with Rovanpera being the clear fastest last year even when Ogier is there.
In Monte Carlo? Absolutely. However, that is hardly a surprise because that is pretty much his specialty. There has been many great rally drivers and even many champions that have not won in Monte Carlo even once. Richard Burns, Colin McRae, Petter Solberg, Juha Kankkunen, Ott Tänak, Timo Salonen, Hannu Mikkola, Stig Blomqvist and so on.
Likely to do with driver’s incredible skill and experience here at Monte, a great overall car in general, good weather…it’s almost as if more determines a winner than just raw power supplements.
In Monte its probably a bit easier to be fast without hybrid than other rallys ,becouse its very tight and low speed.I think one of the drivers said that some stages in Japan were so slow that they almost didnt have benefit of hybrid system, its probably similar in Monte.
Avec huit victoires consecutives faisant suite aux neuf de Loeb, qu'a-t-il à prouver si ce n'est courir pour se faire plaisir et amener des points à Toyota.
Cars look and sound good and post record times on stages so I don't think so. They have to at least seem to try to be sustainable even though most of WRCs sustainability issues come from the yearly travel and not the competition. I'm sure you'll be wanting these events back when they go full electric and drop all events outside Europe eventually.

📺 Watch Rallye Monte-Carlo on Red Bull TV: win.gs/wrc-monte-carlo
Elfyn always looks goofy in his onboards XD
Maximum concentration. 😉
His driving style is certainly unique - but it works! 🚗💨
his way too close to the steering wheel if it was for me, but hey he's one of the best rally car drivers
Great coverage by Red Bull Rally
Thanks for watching!
Whoever chose Elfyn's onboard camera placement did him dirty😂😂
Ogier showing that top drivers in WRC are no where near his level.

Depends on the surface. Tarmac makes Ogier and Loeb look like gods.
@@DropkickNation That's normal. Tarmac has always been the french speciality.

holy shit they're back with the night stages, now that's a BIG W
Said it a million times but you would swear you were watching official highlights
the highlights from red bull it's way better than the FIA lmao
this highlight video was soooo sick
Is it me or Ogier looks like he's always on some kind of doping ?
Akio Toyoda:
1) The Car in Front is a Toyota
2) 100% EV is the wrong choice
Correct on both points!
Come on! What is this Hybrid if you can win stages without it?
Good point my friend I’m sure you won’t the answer

Ogier lleva un Richard Mille y su copiloto un Casio . Gran Rally , 200 pulsaciones y muy peligroso
Terbaik 💪👍👌
Nice
So nice 😊
Ogier would have won last year's WDC had he race the whole season
👍👍👍👍👍
What a driver!! Harri's new era💪
👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
Ogier shouldn't have retired 😉👍
Well, technically he hasn't 😉
@@RedBullRally I mean retired from full-season career

Hybrid in rallying is a joke
Atleast better than all-electric

Commentator, straight from the set of Eastenders?
Dreadful
What should be so bad about him?
