His podcast is even better because of the freedom. I wish it was everyday and can't wait till it is again but I look forward to it the days they do it. It's such a refreshing break from the usual sports speak I listen to all day
Full interview is 8:19! That's the reason why regular radio is becoming an endangered species! By the time Patrick introduces and says his goodbyes to Lebatard it's down to seven minutes. On siriusxm or a podcast, they can talk for an hour if they choose to.
Le Batard is a rare talent. I am not a fan, but I do acknowledge how quick he is and brilliant he is. I wish he provided content that resonated with me more and I wish he didn't align himself with people I find wholly undesirable, but that's how it goes sometimes.
Out of every single sports radio show to ever exist The Lebetard Show single handedly provided more non sports content than anyone They discuss such a broad spectrum of topics it's hard to not be entertained. I see the begrudging respect you have extended to him but can you expand on who he associates with that leaves such a bad taste in your mouth?
@@ThatKidBryan I'll take exception to the first part of your comment. Tony Kornheiser has hosted a show for nearly 30 years and it regularly takes on non-sports content. It's famous for that. To answer your question, I think LeBetard's deep-seated devotion to John Skipper was pretty weird. Skipper had the wrong attitude running ESPN. It was almost as though he was saying, "I like this person, so audiences should, too." So many people he hired and highlighted on various programs were questionable choices - and they almost always wound up on shows that LeBetard hosted. They are sarcastic, borderline nasty (the likes of Sarah Spain, Bomani Jones, etc.). One example: Andrew Luck had some sort of book club and he would record audio promoting certain books and he LeBetard had a roundtable of people (including guest Sarah Spain) critiquing it ... more like ridiculing it. The entire show felt like a group of haughty high school kids sitting at a table in the cafeteria talking trash about another student. It wasn't a good look.
I can't listen to ESPN anymore. I wasn't a huge fan of Mike & Mike, but I felt like Golic was a good guy. When they forced him out, it left a bad taste in my mouth. When they cut the Le Batard show short to give that time to Greenie, I actually held a grudge. I'm not sure if Greenie was behind either, but I can't stand his show and it seems he stabs people in the back. Everyone is so cookie cutter at ESPN (as the pandemic has proven) that I'm not sure I'll ever listen to their radio shows again.
Le batard loves that Cuban exiles line and loves freedom and capitalism when it comes to his career yet loves the American socialist. It’s a weird paradox. His show is funny as hell though when they stick with jokes and let Stu soar.
um, because we all got bills to pay and people to support, duh! he literally says in the interview that he is responsible for people other than himself... good grief, open your ears and your mind!
Dan and friends are doing 1000% better than when he was ESPN. He podcast is great . Subscribe to it .
No, thanks.

Ive always enjoyed Lebatards mix of sports knowledge and humor.
Shame I can’t hear the rejoins anymore. It’s what drew me to the show. Nevertheless, glad they’re so free.
Guillermo: Bald Eagles!!!
Dan: I got two words for you
The all time best formerly known as ESPN properties together. 👍💯 Awesome interview!

The pod is 1,000,000 times better now.
Listen to the podcast
Only bad thing is without the commercial breaks, Dan rambles like crazy. Can't get to the point on anything.

Wonder if Dan will ever lean into the fear, doubt and pain of wearing adult clothes
Adult clothes don't fit fast Chris or him anymore.
Good to see him again, espn's loss.
ESPN has been losing talent for years, the world wide leader isn’t what it used to be
Clay Travis.. outkick the coverage
@@kyle2441 what about Clay
@@Biggestkidyouknow im glad to see that Dan Patrick and Le Batard are talking sports and not how racist america is... or how evil law enforcement is
So, how much for a tie?
1:10 powerful advice

"Father Figure" was George Michael, Theodore. Not Madonna. Stay in your lane.
Fine.

Dan deserves all the blessings,ESPN's loss
Lovin' the hat! Animal!! Love Dan, too. Great radio host and writer.
ESPN should have let both Dans cook without restrictions. They might be better for it. Enjoy Greeny.

Am a fan of both Dan's dan patrick and dan lebatard

Because it's Dan show
Dan's the reason Papi is a thing. 🤦🏾♂️

I agree. I more watched for his father and bomani Jones and the lady reporter was good. (Mina Kimes?)...
But ESPN sucks. So yeah.
We get it, Chief. You don’t care about other Americans unless you directly know them.
If freedom is what you always looked for then why in the hell did you stay a coward for so long?
