The confusion stems from the fact both versions came out a year apart. People can't remember which version they heard first. Outkast original 2003. Earth Wind & Fire cover 2004. Both are smokin and sexy!
EWF for Life! The so called artists, of today and their so called music...has NO SOUL. What they call sensuality; bragging about their package, and not in a way which would let the listener fantasize about the sensuality of the natural act. These young artists need to step their game up!
Gary Bias, the sax player is sick! He's one of my favorites. I'm glad they did this version with him playing rather than Kenny. It's a lot more soulful, IMO.
Brings me back to the days at the beach along Lake Michigan - south side of Chicago. This and Stone Soul Picnic were always blasting. Those were good days.
As THE GREATEST R & B/Soul group IN HISTORY, EWF deserves a movie.
