If anyone hasn't played this before and is wondering what it's like - it's excellent. This was the 1st build I played when I followed a build guide as a noob. I was amazed at how powerful it was. The PoB Tatiantel makes is really detailed and easy to follow as well. Highly recommended.
played this build 2 leagues ago, pretty smooth leaguestart and transition from white to red maps once u got 100 suppress and add totem from shield u can yolo at any guardian/maven encounter if i found myself bored on buffed melee stuff i probably pick dat again, thx for updating!!
Maybe you should start by that, as everyone will start melee and probably Lacerate, everything will be expensive as hell if you play tradeleague and switch later to melee for fun, that's my plan :D

I got in on holy relic early last league. It was AMAZING. I put it aside because I didn't like the league mechanic. Then came back a bit later and since the build got so popular - even one gem/item/amulet on trade was what I paid for almost my entire build . It all got EXTREMELY expensive (except ashes). Just a heads up. I played storm burst the league before and even amazing gear was affordable. Solid build.
@@wilkstube Yeah, Ive done Storm burst totems (and a few other totem types, even warchiefs) and zoomancer, didnt end up doing holy relic though. Farming the HR gems shouldnt be too hard spamming labs for a little while as they are just expensive because people are lazy, but Ill decide last minute while on the queue to login on Friday as it goes most of the time. Got a lot of zoomancer experience so it would be easier to league start Leaning towards SB totems though, as the boss spell rotation will be really simple now. It's also awesome for blight, expedition and harvest that I enjoy doing
It is 20 hours until league start. I have been trawling through guides and posts trying to find anything I might want to play, and finally I remember the Totem man himself exists. So happy to have found this guide, really looking forward to tomorrow now!

I am a pretty casual player and after 3 years i have returned for this league. I really, really like playing casters or minions but was not happy with the builds I found. So i have played this build to level 30 now and i am very, very happy with it : ). When I rejoined 3 weeks ago to get back into the game, i died the whole time. I felt so bad. (of course lots of that is due to not being that good at the game... I love delving and just couldn't see light : / ) Thank you so much for your work and giving us so much fun. I am a bit lost on the skill gems - that might be due to not being used to PoB. Whenever there is a skill-gem quest reward, i click through all the items to see if the gem might pop up somewhere. Will make myself a list. There is probably an easier way around that, but i have not figured it out yet. Having lots of fun, thank you!
GREAT! i've been looking for Hiero Storm burst build on YT, but they were mostly outdated like affliction etc. got a plan to LStart Hiero character that swap to Archmage or something later on, this what i had in mind... and now found ur vid. will test this tommorow on SSF Thanks!
I played this build last season, which had overturned t17 maps. This was the only build that I played that could actually clear them reliably(I do suck at the game though). I had a super, super easy time with bosses,blight maps, and t17 maps with his highly detailed PoB. I recommend this to any newer player. The only real con to this build, in my opinion is that since the damage ramps it feels a little bit slower than other builds. But that's fine for me.
Level 92 in HC and the build is pretty good. Slow mapper but very good bosser. It's certainly possible to go an entire map without getting hit. I'm having issues clearing t14+ maps with any decent speed. I am not going to invest further. I'll probably just do heist for currency before rerolling into something else. I wouldnt reconmend it for SC due to the slow speed. The build is great for mechanics where you can easily avoid getting hit (blight, harvest). I wouldn't play this build for breach or ritual. Overall this is a great guide for a unique build.

Hey, I like your build so far, just spell suppression pigeonholes me unto dex items and it is hard. I have spent hundreds of orbs on evasion/armour chest you have in your pob and still didn't got right colours. Today I have seen no shield with + totem and spell suppression on it on the trade site. Can I respec into life/es instead and which nodes should I take? Armor/es gear is easier to find, easier to colour sockets and probably easier to gear.

honestly, youre better off with shockwave totems for sanctum as they instahit and freeze nearly everything so theres little chance of you losing resolve.
this is my first totem build and it slaps so nicely, you are the GOAT sir! Can you give crafting instructions on how to craft such a shaper shield with +1 totems? (also the body armour, I'm new to crafting).
Hey brother, great vid. I’ve been messing around with Ice shot of pen totems and it’s actually pretty good so far. I’m not a good build creator but since you’re the totem guy I think it’d be great for you to look into!
I realised i hadnt quite figured out how much damage was coming from arcane cloak. So small amounts of flat added aren't as effective as you might think in comparison. Also crusader slammed 15 phys as extra lightning damage onto a pretty nice amulet. Looks good but not actually as impactful as you would think.
I'm in red maps now, just got 2 voidstones. Normal content and bosses are fine, though do need to play a bit more carefully than i'm used to as with its easy to get stunned then die in rippy maps. I made the mistake of going big boom expedition though, which at current gear levels is incredibly rippy and quite slow going too which has stunted my progress. Would not recommend for this build. The fact the damage ramps doesnt help either. Might be better dropping the more duration support for a more up front damage boost. I might switch to a boss rush tree to finish off atlas and get some guardian etc maps. Trying to squeeze in suppression, while having decent stats is hard, though recombinator might make things a bit cheaper. I recombinated a phys reduction, suppression and totem shield fairly cheaply. Though only crafted life and not the best base.

League starting in trade league with soul mantle + Kikazaru rings is mega cheap to blast to yellow and even red maps. The gear in even medium tier will cost a couple divines to make or buy while the soul mantle build is under one divine and could do more damage.
Soul Mantle isn't needed. I cleared all non-unique Atlas maps (T1-16) with 60c of gear. Bought a corrupted 6 link body for 10c, a +1 totem Shaper shield for 15c, and a wand with 90 spell crit chance for 15c. The rest is just 3-5c items with life, resists, and mana. Ran a few cruel labs to get 20% quality on stormblast. Easily did two void Stones (died a couple of times each because I suck at mechanics), and only had one corrupted red map that I couldn't complete.

Build is really nice. I tried this prev league and closed atlas easily, but after i got min max version, I respected to Tristack mines. So about min max, is it possible to add some totem/crit clusters to make it even more stronger, or using something really expensive items like mage-blood or some?
Funny that youtube is recommending me this, I was starting to consider storm burst totems and was about to theorycraft it. It looks kinda slow however (movespeed is not there, and I hate shield charge). Can you please confirm that there's no problem going into kraitin + haste + sublime instead of wrath, I'm not missing anything? Will loose ~20% damage, and action speed is a little wasted on totems, but 20%ms/10%as seems better to me. A few things: - For the anoint, "crusader" looks better in every way, - Tree is super tight, but I feel like "sleepless sentries" is way too strong not to take. Where would you spare the 7 points for it? Maybe taking "ash frost and storm" instead of "heart of thunder" and "Divine judgment"? Would allow for a "scintillating ideas" large, with a totem medium for onslaught. - Why no rage helmet? Seems like a perfect fit for the arcane cloak, and 30% more spell damage ain't half bad Thank you for the video, I think I'll start with this instead of what I had planned!
Heh I'm a big shield charge enjoyer. Haste - absolutely doable, yes. Crusader gives less damage than "Wood, Stone, and Spell" annoint, but it gives some extra EHP, so debatable. Rage helmet - I didn't realise they updated it for more spell damage as well, it should be great indeed
Divine ire totems at my go to league start/ currency maker. It's an easy gem swap to this skill, they're basically the same thing but I feel like divine ire has better damage built in though
Hi, I'm looking to reroll this build and use it to play sanctum for the first time, just wondering why Phys to lightning specifically? Great guide btw!
This is an interesting concept, however how would that look if we switched from going spell suppression which puts a lot of pressure on gear into block which also allows for a 5% life and mana gain on block. Probably would have to go with glancing blows but that is fine too. Since we no longer are going evasion, we can stack armor and energy shield which should further help into phy mitigation and that frees a flask to be something like a silver or a sulphur. i'd even switch out of the quicksilver and into a diamond, if we can attain a mage blood we can even get 100% crit easily. This would allow us to also look towards getting into a soul mantle which will significantly increase our damage and if there is a mageblood we can have curse immunity just from a single flask. We pair this with a self flagelation which should be netting us a million DPS per curse on us allowing use to switch out of the big elephant in the room, the watcher's eye. It's less about the price and more about you having to constantly manually cast just to do that 10% conversion. Might as well no bother and accept that we don't run phy reflect maps but hey, we are already going to be immune to all curses in maps, in fact those curses are now buffs. This does put more pressure on resists though but it's archivable. I think the most interesting is seeying if we could also switch into a spark totem but that might be harder and require a lot more tree changes.
Im playing it and its amazing, do you believe its good for Sanctum or you gonna update Shockwave build for 3.25 POB? It took me like a few leagues to find good totem builds, happy to subscribe to your channel, keep the good work mate!
@@angelkirchev I'm glad you liked it! Storm burst is great for sanctum too, but if you want to run only sanctum, then there's no need for defences in the build, people usually go full damage for it
Kinda sad there's no mtx for storm burst. I was hyped for this build but then I saw there's no mtx for it and I always play a new skill on league start with some mtx because I'm a visual guy. But I'll still league start this because I tested it and it felt good so. .. Thanks for the guide.
Love the build! Am I missing something obvious in the PoB? In the Min/Max version, its still granting the +15 Suppression from the evasion mastery enough though there is no suppression on the Algor Mortis

Crusader gives less damage than "Wood, Stone, and Spell" annoint, but it gives some extra EHP, so debatable.
Rage helmet - I didn't realise they updated it for more spell damage as well, it should be great indeed

Divine ire totems at my go to league start/ currency maker. It's an easy gem swap to this skill, they're basically the same thing but I feel like divine ire has better damage built in though
Hi, I'm looking to reroll this build and use it to play sanctum for the first time, just wondering why Phys to lightning specifically? Great guide btw!
This is an interesting concept, however how would that look if we switched from going spell suppression which puts a lot of pressure on gear into block which also allows for a 5% life and mana gain on block. Probably would have to go with glancing blows but that is fine too. Since we no longer are going evasion, we can stack armor and energy shield which should further help into phy mitigation and that frees a flask to be something like a silver or a sulphur. i'd even switch out of the quicksilver and into a diamond, if we can attain a mage blood we can even get 100% crit easily.
This would allow us to also look towards getting into a soul mantle which will significantly increase our damage and if there is a mageblood we can have curse immunity just from a single flask. We pair this with a self flagelation which should be netting us a million DPS per curse on us allowing use to switch out of the big elephant in the room, the watcher's eye. It's less about the price and more about you having to constantly manually cast just to do that 10% conversion. Might as well no bother and accept that we don't run phy reflect maps but hey, we are already going to be immune to all curses in maps, in fact those curses are now buffs.
This does put more pressure on resists though but it's archivable. I think the most interesting is seeying if we could also switch into a spark totem but that might be harder and require a lot more tree changes.
Im playing it and its amazing, do you believe its good for Sanctum or you gonna update Shockwave build for 3.25 POB? It took me like a few leagues to find good totem builds, happy to subscribe to your channel, keep the good work mate!
@@angelkirchev I'm glad you liked it! Storm burst is great for sanctum too, but if you want to run only sanctum, then there's no need for defences in the build, people usually go full damage for it
@@Tatiantel2 it's not only sanctum, but it is the only mechanic I never tried as a game plan so I want to give it a try.

Kinda sad there's no mtx for storm burst. I was hyped for this build but then I saw there's no mtx for it and I always play a new skill on league start with some mtx because I'm a visual guy.
But I'll still league start this because I tested it and it felt good so. .. Thanks for the guide.
Love the build! Am I missing something obvious in the PoB? In the Min/Max version, its still granting the +15 Suppression from the evasion mastery enough though there is no suppression on the Algor Mortis

In the beginning, you say this is the best totem starter. What do you think is the best all-rounder endgame totem build in a trade environment?
Do you have any notes on crafting some of these items? Syndicate and Harvest, or something similar?
In settlers we get recombinators back, so my plan is to craft with Rog from expedition, and then combine with recombinator
