Great explanation! Answers a lot of questions I’ve had!

I have a form of psoriasis called guttate psoriasis. Randomly shows up after a bad viral infection. It started about 18 years ago… had it for 1.5 years it went away then did come back until a year ago… after I had covid.
I saw a lot of if secondary to COVID too.
OK - I've watched this a few times and still don't really get it. I had psoriasis as a toddler (one of my earliest memories), and don't remember how it got cleared up. Do autoimmune diseases "communicate"? I've always had dry itchy skin, but controlled it with lotions or oils. Last year I was diagnosed with Autoimmune Hemolytic Anemia, and (I think) my psoriasis came back because of that on my thighs, butt, and lower back. My Dermatologist told me it was a fungal infection, but the creams he prescribed burn and don't help. I know I'm not a Medical Professional, but I don't beleive in coincidences, but the anemia (Autoimmune) and psoriasis/rash seem too coincidental!
They certainly can be related, but because the genetics are so complex, it’s hard to truly pin things down. ;)
Thanks, Doc.... I have an appointment with a new Derm in August since my current Derm is a jerk. ( Doc appointments in my area are ridiculous- so far out). Until then, I'll keep scratching 😢!
@@marthawood3367 August?!? Wow, that’s a long wait!
