I can't imagine carb counting without InRange app anymore. So simple.

My elderly father (79) has Diabetes, and my elderly mother (76) has balance, weight and eyesight issues. I am over 70 pounds overweight, 55 years old, and was recently told I have high blood pressure and high "bad" cholesterol. I also live with and care for my parents. I need to find a way to address all of the above issues while preparing most of our meals. My doctor's office sent me to see a dietician at a hospital in the next county. The dietician gave me a small library of books and other literature to refer to, and I'm having trouble organizing and digesting it all. Book titles included "Real Solutions Weight Loss Workbook, 2nd edition" by Toni Piechota from the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, and the following Cornerstones4Care books: "Carb Counting and Meal Planning", "Diabetes and You", and a fold-out poster/mini-booklet "Planning Heathy Meals". I also received two books from the National Institute on Aging on exercise ("Get Fit for Life" and "Workout to Go") Any suggestions on how to make sense of all of this and how to get the most out of it?

Jenniet2002 I think she's really trying to introduce the book as a tool, not to teach carb counting in this video.
