I remember Washington baths ,,, wonderful family pool and you can get your hand stamped and go down to the beach and take a swim ,,,, and when you came back the man at the gate would take the ultra violet light and put it up to the hand that was stamped and you could go back in side and take another swim in the pool or take a steam bath and shower up , they had individual lockers you would go into and change your clothes ,,,,,, it was some place and people would know each other from going there for years and years and then they had the cyo day camp almost next door to Washington bath's, I remember my parents had me in that one year and I couldn't stand it so that was the end of the cyo day camp for me,,,,,,, so many memories . Thanks great video.

Rebuilding a modern day version of Steeplechase's HUGE "Pavilion of Fun" would be the next rightful step in bringing more attractions to the seaside resort, operating year round .........

Just learned my grandmother worked at Child’s in the 1920’s as the lead menu planner / dietitian before she got married. “Late supper” is something I can still hear her saying. :)

...looks like only the facade of the building is being retained, then, new extended rear space construction. Not really a preservation.

And now it’s kitchen 21...it still has its original floors...I know this because I worked here summer 17’...I grew up in bklyn and to see it go from a homeless den to a restored restaurant was astonishing. #ConeyKidForever

So, can anyone take this into the present for us? The video was posted 8 years ago and the renovation work was underway. Pardon my ignorance for what exactly is out there now?
