Much better presentation this time compared to your older videos! Keep up the good work. I don't know if I am the minority here. But I really prefer these sort of tiny boats that has everything in it over those big super yachts with crews and tenders. There is something so intimate and private about small boat thatI really love. I love that you can just drive this off to the ocean for a few days on your own without too much hassles.
Perhaps “tiny” isn’t the word to use. If you ever have to personally open your wallet to buy one “tiny” is not a word you would use. Neither in relation to berthing, fuelling or maintenance..... Wallets are available in all size much as boats are. Go back many years in the yachting world and you would find 18’ as starter boats. Nowadays families turn their nose up (as defined by their earlier wallet size) at anything less than 32’. Thus it transfers over to the power boat world. Drive a lot of boats and you’ll soon find that boat show dreams transfer out onto the water in a very different fashion....
I prefer the reviews of these smaller cabin cruiser types as well. Yeah, the 60 foot + ones are nice to look at occasionally but there's no way that _I_ would buy one even if I had the money. This particular one looks like it would serve as a "Looper" or a canal/river cruiser there in Europe.
About time Jack. Cracking little boat, I first came across Nord Star back in 2013 at one of the boat shows it was the next one up from this and it was very impressive. I think that they do up to 50ft on this design. Superb value for money and they feel like their built to last. The twin engine version goes like a scolded cat and would be my choice but they're all great boats and very popular in Russia and the Scandinavian countries.
Hi Jack. Very smart, capable, seaworthy boat. Priced at just short of 300k id expect all the extras. Cool test drive, great walkthrough video thanks 😊 and happy new year MBY
Nice to see a review that isn’t afraid to give negative feedback where appropriate. I fear that most ‘reviewers’ feel compelled to be only positive, for fear the manufacturer / importer will block future access to boats. Well done, chaps!
Have the presenters ever introduced their own boats? I know Nick does some stuff on Smugglers Blues 2 on his channel, would love to see what everyone else has.
Excellent review, I think the second cabin and the term coffin is app. There are nice touches with the boat but this I would go for the swift. Especially after your live abroad video.
Interior space suitable for living aboard is not a priority for these types of boats. Why would you want to sleep in the boat if you are using it as an all weather ferry between your archipelago vacation home and the mainland?
Exellent video Jack, happy New year to you and your family, some people moan about nothing i don't understand them, keep up the exellent video's and listen to no-one 😊😊😊
I'm glad your boat tour came up on my feed. Normally I watch Aquaholic, but he, I think his name is Tim, never makes negative (honest)comments, like you just did with the drawers and the cabin being a bit like a coffin 😂🤣😂 I now prefer your channel, honesty gets my vote every time. Cheers 🍻 PS just subscribed
Nice but I'll take a Botnia or a Sargo over this. Though, the rubberized anchor hull was a nice feature along with the aft outdoor seating area compared to aforementioned two. The galley and the aft sleeping area is a no for me compared to the other two. Nice review!
Excellent reviews! Just curious but it appears that given the height of the dash, and forward slant of the windshield, and mid-boat position of the wheel, your forward view is somewhat limited (narrow)? Same issue with Targa's and Sargo's. Do you get this feeling? Do you find yourself leaning forward very often to improve your view?
Additionally, why do the tests always talk about tight turns? Does the average boater drive through a bunch of day fishers on a regular basis? The only time I make a sharp turn is if I happen to see a fishing pot buoy a bit late. I don't see many boats out competing in slalom courses.
You’re not alone there! The only time I ever turn that tight is instructing how the boat responds at that speed and the possibility of a “hook turn”. After that it’s an irrelevance. But remember it’s the Car Wow equivalent of “0-60 drag races”. Things we may do once or twice in the vessel’s life. Remember when you’re paying for maintenance hammering the boat means you pay for that in the end. But if you’re a “tester” (now the Clarkson analogy) you don’t have to care about that.... Nice boat, but I’ve recently made my choice for slower and more space but still with that key walk around ability.
It’s a tangible way of conveying the boat’s handling when you have nothing but flat water to play in. It may not be of much use when it’s calm but having the agility to steer a planing hull like that through a following sea is a different matter. Unfortunately we can only test the boats in the conditions served on the day! Thanks for watching.
The water is so flat my god any boat goes ok in flat water . You have called it the SUV of the sea but test it in reasonably calm water??? Also torque is just as relevant as HP so please quote torque.
With all the fine craft available.... new and used... this goat-mobile is a joke. I understand that tthe reviewer needs a paycheck but please’... get a real job or review a a worthy offering.
Possibly the most honest reviewer on boats these days.
I agree, I love Nick's reviews on his channel but he can be a bit too positive. I much prefer a even handed approach.
Thanks, I appreciate that.
This has been one of a handful of channels on RUclips that's made 2020 a little less shit. Looking forward to seeing what you all bring us in 2021.
Thanks for the support, great to hear that you enjoy the content.

My God i liked his review Jack is looking up !!!!!!!

I love forward wind screens! Nothing says your on boat more than forward wind screens!
Nice review. Finally someone that points out deficiencies as well as what they like.

🤣🤣 “coffin like” I’m dying laughing imagining a guest’s face when they find out that is where they will be sleeping.
I had a berth in my old boat that I used to call the coffin ⚰️

Our pleasure, thanks for watching.

Good idea, we’ll see if we can make this happen.
@@MotorBoatYachting Awesome!! Can’t wait!
Great little boat that seems to pack a lot into its 31’+!
Thanks Jack and Happy New Year to all at MB&Y 🥳
Happy New Year, Nic!
Glad to see a Nord Star on an English channel.
By FAR the BEST reviewer in the Tube:-) Always love your vids!
Happy new year to all at MBY 👍❤️
Happy New Year to you!
I was shocked that that little boat could sleep four!!

His name is Nick @ Aquaholic. lol.
Happy New Year! Thanks for helping brighten up 2020! And please review the new Marex 330 as soon as you can 🙂
It’s on the list!
@@MotorBoatYachting brilliant!!
My first thumbup in 2021is for you. Pls keep up the good work!
Thanks 👍

Thanks MBY team. Happy new year. Maybe clean the camera sensor for next year though? There's good chaps.
is it possible for you to do a comparison of Botnia targa 37, sargo 36 and nord star 36?
Yes that would be helpful, what is the differnts in driving and what is best
Can you look into the boat that appears in The Meg please I'd like to know more about it but you can't find anything on it...
Happy new Year :-)
My favorite boat.
This boat should have only one side walkway. That saloon inside by the galley would be much more enjoyable
cabins on a boat that size just does not seem right
8:22 Wouldn’t be complete without a stripper pole
Edit: love that he addressed it a few seconds later! 😂😂
Which navigation app do you use, Jack?
Navionics’ Boating app.
@@jackhaines123 Thanks!
i like this boat it has STRIPPER POLE for goodtime.
Is that really Three Hundred Grands worth of boat ?
Yup, I’m amazed at how little understanding of boat value is held by the general public.
Nice very nice
Oh oh, it has a dance pole!
I love that they have a pole for strippers! Should cater for a fun night at sea!
What's the cruise speed, range on full tanks, and price new?
She can do 215 miles at 24 knots and prices start at £234,488 inc VAT. The one we tested had a couple of extras, so would cost you £298k inc. VAT
fuckin love these no nonsense utilitarian boats.
This boat is like a 1985 Rv.
the "coffin berth" would certainly go toe-to-toe on headroom with one of those RV beds above the driver's seat 😂
Who is this boat aimed at?
Damn it comes with a stripper pole in the back? They did think of everything
Lekker man lekker
It's ok if it's not priced as a superyacht I guess.

It's a good boat but let's face it... it's a pig to look at. The forward downward slant on the cabin roof is all wrong
Also known as pirkka targa
Entry level equipment on a boat with an eye-watering price tag of £300k, yikes!
Такое чувство что, они начали экономить на всём. Всё упрощать, интерьер стал беднее, старые компоновочные решения от которых ранее отказывались.
The water is so flat my god any boat goes ok in flat water . You have called it the SUV of the sea but test it in reasonably calm water??? Also torque is just as relevant as HP so please quote torque.
I see a stripper pole
298,000 Euro for a boat like, they are having a laugh. Knock 100,000 Euros off and it is still pricey for the quality.
But where will the girls in bikini do the sun bathing?
Right?! 😅
