This was so much fun to watch. Absolutely loved the speed lapse of all your work. So tired of watching someone dig a whole for two weeks.
Lol I know what you mean, pleased you enjoyed watching.. loads more to come thank you
So true
You certainly are an able workman! To have acomplished so much by yourself most of the time, you are to be commended. I love that you restored the original walls.
Thank you.. doing the walls never looses that magic when they are finished... thanks for your comments they are very much appreciated.. cheers
I almost cried when you started plastering the stone wall. So relieved that I was wrong :) great job!
its surprising how it goes from ugly to stunning, hard work but well worth it... thanks for watching
Same here
나도 같은생각을 했어요. 하지만 나중에 안심했어요.
I wondered how old the stone wall was. What year it was made?
@@baskervillebee6097 Hi, it was built in 1820... thanks for watching cheers
Absolutely fantastic format....no need to apologise for quality etc, it’s great, and we are enjoying watching the hard work you guys are putting in to this fabulous project!
Very inspirational, and having wanted to take on a similar project post retirement, it makes us want it even more....great work and please continue to inspire us!
Thank you, pleased to here you enjoy the vids..its never to late to start , though at 64 I should have more sense lol cheers
Y’all are doing a mighty fine job, lots of HARD WORK🙌🏻😊🥰😃🤩🎉❤️🙏🏻
Thank you really appreciate you watching and comments
This is so impressive! I can't believe you got ALL of this done in only 14 weeks! Keep up the good work!
thanks, yes its been hard going at times, but we have manage to complete some of the hardest jobs in that period, for eg the septic tank.. I honestly believe that creating the Gite is more involved and harder work than renovating the main part of the house will be... time will tell.. cheers
All that time on your knees without a pad in sight! That is hard core. That stone wall repointed is everything.
I love hard work...I could watch it all day🤣. That was amazing, wishing you all every joy. 👏😁
lol me too, so I should know better at my age.. cheers
I love the refurbished stone wall. Great job...was so happy to see you brushing it back
Your multitude skills and relentless work ethic are impressive and your beautiful house a worthy recipient of your creative efforts..
It's a stunner, and so are you.. Thank you so much for the time you've taken to share your epic days with us.. 💞
This is a great way to see your progress, wonderful work all of you! I like the colour scheme you chose that keeps it light so the rooms look bigger. I will now wait for your next video!
Beautiful outcome!!! Enjoy it!!! Another video of complete renovation including outside. Home is were the heart is, and you put a lot!!! ❤🏠
thank you for your time and comments cheers
I especially like how you covered the stone, turned out beautiful. Love the use of the farm door.
Yes it's one of my favourite things to do, even though it kills my arms... thank you
So great to look back at all the work completed so far! Really enjoyed the time lapse. Hope you get better luck uploading when you return and can’t wait to see more 🤗
Thank Alison, even I had forgotten how much we had done, and we didn't even film the shower being built or the floor tiles being laid .... hopefully internet will be sorted... thanks for watching cheers
All that work and not a beer in sight.
Got to say no fancy tools, just hard graft and a vision, thats all it takes, hats off to you sir!!
Wow amazing taking the soul out of a place to make it look like every other place, with cheap looking materials, the destruction by over renovation continues
Wow. Good team. Fab job. Glad you kept some of the stone walls on show as they are beautiful since you repointed them.
Thank you pleased you enjoyed the vid take care
Dude you are a master builder 😳 super hero ! Wow 😯! Nice 👍 amazing !
I’m totally exhausted just watching!
lol I know what you mean.. thanks for watching cheers
Your reveal and pointing of the stone walls is gorgeous. Even though I listen to everyone's intros, I don't find anything of value in them, EXCEPT for yours. The into explaining the vid was thoughtfully done for me/us the viewer in mind. Thank you. And the early vids with your Iphone were just fine, no worries. I enjoyed this vid. Thanks for going to all the trouble to create it. 👍
Thank you for taking the time to watch, and comment its very much appreciated, take care..
DAM! you two guys did an amazing job. I look forward to what ever amazing things you do next. 🌹
Thank you for your time and comment its much appreciated cheers
appreciate the effort that takes to put such video together, thanks a lot!
Thank you... thats much appreciated cheers
Oh my, this is nothing like any renovation I've ever seen ... and to see what it takes to bring a nunnery(?) forward a bit in time ... eye opening ! And to think it was pretty much a DIY project. LOL ! Keep 'em coming Grahame👍 Take care. -Mike😷
Thanks Mike, I heard the other day that all the electrics are now finished in the Gite, so were on to the main house... looking forward to getting back, and moving it on... I'll be stopping at the house now, which I believe will be the first time anyone has slept there for some time... appreciate your viewing and comments, cheers
@@OurFrenchHouseRenovation My pleasure, cheers
Fantastic, you are not a rookie for sure. Will rewatch again just to see the parts I missed. So looking forward to following the rest of this transformation! Excellent work.
Jeees, I worked up a sweat just watching.
Love the time lapse I love watching videos where you speed it up and show the work that you've already accomplished really enjoyed your video I just subscribed. Much love from Oklahoma USA Jackie 🇺🇸💖
Thank you Jackie, I cant believe how popular this vid has been, thanks for subscribing, new vid out on Friday...
I'm glad to see you put up some dry wall and didn't try to clean ALL the the brick walls in the gite. That's back-breaking work, but gives the place a nice ancient decorating touch. Love your videos.
Wow... !!! My best friend, It's always great. We liked and enjoyed to the end. Thanks
If you fit drywall plasterboard sheets in landscape then you have less joints to fill and you don't need a ladder to tape them up. plasterboard is available in 12 foot long sheets too.
I enjoyed watching on .25 speed. Great to watch someone kicking it old school! That is something I would watch weekly if you broke it up into smaller chunks or do another property
Hi thanks for watching, most of my vids are between 12 and 15 mins long, this is probably the longest I’ve posted, there was a shorter one yesterday and hopefully the same next Friday, really appreciate you watching and your comments cheers
Wow, a good reminder of all your hard work and just how much has been achieved.
xx
I saw that video the factory was massive and the beautiful work they did on the one building fantastic to see . To have youthful strength again ...
Well done !
Look forward to seeing your next one.
What an awesome project! Well done. THANK YKU FOR SHARING
Well done ... Living the DREAM ... a REAL YOU TUBE INFLUENCER!!! THANK YOU for sharing your AMAZING EXPERIENCE!!! 🕉️💗🕉️
Thank you for your time and comments pleased to hear your enjoying the vids...
Good to see that insulation was put in while the flooring was replaced. Back in the day, straw was probably used if insulation was thought of then.
Wow - I hope you plan on retiring there...That is a ton of work...Looks like you both know what you are doing though...Can't believe they let you lay your own septic system in France and have it signed off on...Great Job!!
I lived here 16 years ago, but now due to family and Brexit it would be difficult to move here full time.. luckily my mate has fitted tanks before in the UK, it took a while to get it signed off but no probs in the end..thanks for watching
Wow dude, impressive! You are an animal. Looks great! Can't wait to see updates. This was the first of your videos I've seen but now I'm subscribed and will binge watch to get caught up.
many thanks for subscribing, its very much appreciated and your comments cheers
I thoroughly enjoyed this video, it will take time to get over the speed at which you did it in, I am exhausted!! Will go back and watch your other videos at a leisurely pace. Will continue watching from NZ.
Hi Joy from NZ, Thanks for watching I really appreciate it... I only wish I could work that fast all the time lol take care cheers
Thanks a lot for sharing. It's was great, looking forward to the next one.
Amazing amount of work! As an owner of an old French house myself I know how much effort this takes!
Thank you, much appreciated, where in France are you? cheers
Not only are you an amazing handy craftsman but you also have a good sense of humor with your comments! :)
Well done! Thank you for putting the work in to show us.
Thank you for watching
Excellent work. I really enjoyed that you took the time to restore the original hinges on the shutters. Thanks for sharing
Love this , can’t wait for the next one
Fun to watch. Great job.
WOW! You guys are amazing.
Wow you guys are killing it. It's looking amazing!

Great job, wonderful!
Every thing amazing. Good and cleaver people, old but beatiful architecyural house and good job.
AMAZING how careful you have done your renovation to save original look that place 👏👏👏

@@OurFrenchHouseRenovation and you did it !!!!

@@lubovwoke3088 thank you
Beautiful project, outstanding workmanship! I'd like to live there!
thank you, so would I but not really possible now.. cheers
Can't believe you banged it out so fast! Great job!
Amazing video great work looking forward to seeing more, love the stone walls just stunning
Thank you, yes the walls always look good once cleaned up and dried out.. thanks for watching cheers
Wow. That was amazing. Would be good to see a tour of it finished 😃
Reminds me of Stone House Revival channel from Pennsylvania. Great job.
so interesting to compare with north American way of doing things. studs are at 24 in contrast to 16 inch. you have door locks with screws on the outside of the house. you do it all no paint roller and circular saw! wow impressive. i love the masonry work.
Vince - here we use metal stud both in domestic and commercial, boards fitted vertical, with the respective insulations & membranes applied. Everybody I work with (including myself use circular saws/rollers and so on) - the norm.
Amazing and stragely relaxing to watch. How different from your reality. Great job.
never a truer word spoken thanks for your time and comments
Hello! Just watched all your videos! Love to see you All working together!❤️
So great to see another old French house get the full renovation treatment. Good on ya!
Thank you lol very much appreciated
Wow! Quite impressive!
Fantastic work. Well done. Loved the music too, very New Order-esque
… excellent, one of the best, never take this one down it's set to be a very long slow burner... le maison est une belle trouvaille...
Thank you I really appreciate your time and comments
Really enjoyable watch fantastic work ..looking forward to seeing your progress ..oh and well done great job
I love this time lapse videos never get bored.
Thank you
What a spectacular job, amazing.
nice and hats off. You have to make it.
But no idea what reasonable craftsmanship means. That's how you renovated 50 years ago. Damp room without vapor barrier, no insulation although the floor was open (and leave the old rotten), sewage pipes simply laid on the topsoil, shower tray installed before the direct wall surfaces are reasonably sealed. In Germany one would say: mold pre-programmed
I enjoyed that ! Thank you!
How on earth did you sustain that level of energy for 14 weeks? I'm exhausted just watching! Congrats.
they are spread over a year due to covid, otherwise I don't think I would have survived lol thanks
Wow, is all I can say! Fantastic job!
Fantastic, loved every minute
Great job!!! Thanks for sharing
wow, I ,loved wtchingthis. bravo, such fantastic work and transformation. good luck, you are a fantastic team. bless from Australia. xx
Love your house !!!!! Great job !!! :-)
Congratulations! Fantastic work!
Incredible Renovation video... Time Lapse mode was edited with perfection & the right amount of content delivered. Thoroughly enjoyed the clip 👍🙏❗
Thank you for your time and comments, they are both appreciated..
Excellent job, well done
Great watch, missed a lot of the annotations, due to the rapidity of their scrolling. That said, I've subscribed and would love to see more. Could I respectfully ask for a walkthrough and what works you have planned.
all these clips are from early vids and the writing comes from that time... its impossible to remove when making a vid like this, so as it was speeded up x20 I could make it readable.. thanks for watching and your comments really appreciated it cheers
@@OurFrenchHouseRenovation No big issue, I paused a for a few of them but some where gone in a flash. I'd hate for witticisms to be missed in the future. :-) Thanks again, Squire.
I,m sweating and my arms and back are tired just from watching you guys do all that hard work. Nothing wrong with the quality it was good. You guys sure did a lot of work in that time, and not a beer in sight,I don,t know how you managed,Awesome vid,Awesome job done, thankyou for posting, best part I liked was throwing the filler on the brickwork and smoothing it over👍. Lots of dust too when dumping the gravel in hole. Anyway Best wishes,Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all, from,Auckland,New Zealand.👍⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐🙂🙂🙂😉😉😉
Greater than asking a refurbisher! It looks fun and seems to bring new life to the house.
"Please do your best. I support you from Japan.
thank you for your support its very much appreciated
It will be nice to see the finished renovation. Looking forward to it
me too if I survive lol cheers
Truly fascinating to watch and with beautiful results
AWESOME!!!🌻
❤FROM DALLAS TEXAS
Full of admiration for all that you’ve accomplished!!!! Love that you uncovered original rock walls & re-limed them( I presume).
Relieved that you opened the stairway upstairs. I was concerned about the elimination of light from the window.
Lovely to see the small fountain become revealed.
One question, why just a small micro kitchen?
Thank you, I love the walls and hopefully they will now last for some time to come.. the Gite is for two people only, the main house will have a large kitchen-dining area approx 18 x 18 feet Thanks for watching cheers
Thank you well done not to shabby.👍❤️🎥
Absolutely beautiful ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Beautifull, beautifull job guys!!! Wonderfull house after your work!!! Congratulations!!! 1000 times!!!
