It means “Please be mine”... she definitely has influence from MC + Beyonce along w/ others in the PH. She’s the First Hall of Famer of the Wish Bus. Check out Never Enough & Rise Up on that bus! ✨
Welcome to the amazing world of Asia’s Phoenix Morissette! If you react to her more you will find that she can do just about everything. If you didn’t notice she smoothly transitioned from chest to whistle register all in one breath and the climax was even longer. Try her amazing rendition of Rise Up, Never Enough or Secret Love Song, all on the WishBus. Great analysis coach and thank you for featuring her on your channel. 🤙🏽
I love when vocal coaches react to her. I like how even the trained technical ears can still be caught off guard. Sometimes so much so that the long run she does with one breath is overlooked. I'm no coach but I completely missed it the 1st time cuz I was so stunned by the placement of that whistle.
I think almost a hundred you tube reactors have already reacted to this Morissette song, all of them have different explanations and interpretation but just the same all of them are amazed and some are blown away by that whistle tone, so welcome to Mori's world and hope that you'll do more.
The way she sang, you can feel her heart overflows with kindness, emotions and compassion. She is the serenity amidst the chaos of what's going on with the world right now. With her heavenly vocal control, techniques, runs, riffs, range, resonance, register, timbre, squeaks, breaks, cracks, cry, fry, growl, vibrato, tone, pitch, belt, chest voice, head voice, mixed voice and who doesn't remember her divine whistle notes (let's not forget about that) that are all so majestic she can easily sedates everyone's life turbulence and turned it into hope and love and music. She is all, and she is more that's why since before we loved her... beyond measure.. beyond reason.. beyond time.. and we'll still loving her... and we'll always and forever will be.😍
Been into this rabbit hole of watching reaction videos to the phenomenal Akin Ka Na Lang for some weeks now, and finally saw that my online singing mentor also made a reaction. :) Great job, Matt! 😊🙏💕
Thank you for featuring Morissette in your channel! ❤️ i actually like it when reactors take apart the performance, impart their knowledge and comment on everything. I mean, that’s why you’re called a vocal couch right? Pls do more of her 🙏 i promise you, this is just barely scratching the surface when it comes to how amazing of an artist she is. I recommend her Never Enough cover on the wish bus, her beyonce medley and her mariah medley. I hope you and your fam are keeping safe! ☺️
It is a squeak. Another vocal coach said it was a "whistled fry scream". Much more accurate than calling it a vocal cry, which it has never sounded like to me. And then she did an actual whistle note after toward the end.
I love Morissette..thank you for reacting to her..hope you will try more another Morissette cover song..specially her performance in " Asia Song Festival 2017"

Brooooo, I usually only Subscribe to (female) vocal coaches I discover from reaction videos because they're cute, but you just got my subscription after watching your spot-on technical analysis here. You know your notes, head/chest voice transitions, music genres, and tendencies like no other I've come across yet...and, believe me, I've watched hundreds of reactions videos to Morissette, Daryl Ong, & misc. covers since this whole COVID-19 quarantine started. I respect many others like Rached (R&B connoisseur), but your musicality & experience with global singers as you mentioned at the start of your video has truly allowed you to hone in on technique much more because you don't understand the lyrics, yet stress vowel sounds & stretches. That last sentence was longer than Mori's first 14-second run transition into whistle tone with riffs. So, I turn 43 years old tomorrow (look 28 though 😁), and I was born & raised in the U.S. with many Filipino friends who loved to sing. I mention my age because you already know all the R&B flavor I listened to on the radio coming up. It has been said many people naturally sing when our emotions are too powerful to cry in sadness or too exhilarated with happiness. I've sang most of my life (in private) while driving as self therapy & to deal with very tough times in my personal life. Few have ever seen me cry, but singing takes me on journeys of happiness & healing which I feel every single time I watch Morissette perform & connect with her audience (pretty soon the entire universe will admire as she's just signed a deal with Disney & probably many more companies). She is an amazing self-taught talent as many Filipino & other great singers are to start off. I've never had a vocal coach because singing has always been a passion and hobby, yet not a career choice for me. Just seeing girlfriends I've dated with a shocked expression (hopefully good) when they heard me randomly throwing out a few 90s R&B bars & riffs while driving on one of our first few dates was enough. Some of us just sing merely to express, inspire, & serenade rather than to impress or boast. It's heartwarming to give that of oneself. Today, all the platforms out there for music are astounding. If I could afford a vocal coach or ever wanted one to improve upon the artform & skill, it would be you or someone like you. I need to add that I appreciated your minimal pauses and on-the-fly technical analysis, particulary during this reaction video of an epic performance which I personally believe changed the trajectory of Mori'$ life & future successes. Most people's jaws just drop & freeze in amazement of the coveted whistle tones, but you stayed within your element as much as possible as a consummate professional. Trust that no one expects that 1st magical whistle moment in this rendition, especially on that same breath. This is the longest comment I've ever left in my entire life, and I rarely leave comments other than things like "Mori is wifey 🥰" or something quick like that. Anyhow, I'd like to commend you for a job well done here and making it look effortless like all true pros do. Lastly, Morissette Amor's passion for her craft, polished skills, exceptional vocal acumen, range, high IQ for musicality & performance, discipline, and blessing for finding her true calling in life (something most of us never do - me included) is what will take "Asia's Phoenix" to the legendary levels of musical greatness. I want this to be time-stamped because some of us already recognized the magical gem on the Wish Bus while others will bandwagon in the near future...and that's just okay as well. 🎤🎧🎵🎶🎼🙌💯 p.s., I posted this novel of a comment since you said you read every comment, so the sun should be rising by the time you read this. #RiseUp
@DriftGenes, many days of sun rise have passed since you left this thoughtful and positive comment, and I apologize for that, but I am working my way through, and just wanted to thank you for being here! thanks so much for subbing
Wow! High notes little phrase before wistle so great, listen carefully one breath long and she sitting down that is amazing , and then last wistle going low with phrasing, omg!
I really enjoy your feed back on all these amazing singers who have such incredible voices I am not a singer but I learn alot each time I watch you and appreciate such wonderful talent thank you for sharing these videos x🙂

I love ur comments & reaction. You're really a great vocal coach. Morisette is a fantastic singer that's why we filipinos are so proud of her. Thanks for ur nice comment.
He was too busy being "technical" and showing off his "know how" he missed the point of enjoying the song... that one long belt after her whistle was amazing and was noticed by a whole lot of other vocal coaches. Probably because the others who made reaction videos of the song paid attention >_< lol
My young Facebook friend whose name is Piet Arion from Austria who never had a singing lesson in his life, works at a low paying job unrelated to music and sings as a hobby ( making tribute studio recordings of his favorite vocalists) loves Morissette and when he saved a few extra $$ walked into the recording studio and performed a tribute song for Morissette, her original song called “ akin Ka Na Lang” . Piet’s native language is German and second is English but he has a Philippine friend who spent weeks teaching Piet the Tagalog language and when satisfied Piet sang “ akin Ka Na Lang.” and posted it several months ago on RUclips expecting a few hundred responses. But from the moment he posted it on you tube , it EXPLODED!!! It now has over 22,000 LIKES and over 4,000 Comments and 99% of the comments are WOW! OMG! BEYOND AMAZING! “ INCREDIBLE! BEST VERSION EVER MALE OR FEMALE!!! ( equal to Morissette’s) . He nails both Whistle notes with as much or more vibrato than Mosissette. By the way, a few people who watched this incredible performance thought he was lip syncing -especially the whistle notes. So to prove them wrong, he performed version 2 and introduces the song from his apartment with a whistle note not from the recording studio. To quell his detractors. Piet will one day become as famous as Dimash-as soon as he starts entering vocal contests like the Voice UK or US which he will win by the largest margin in the history of these shows. I predict you will give his “ akin ka na lang” performance 6 stars out of 5. Al
Filipinos don’t need vocal coaches. They got karaoke machines at home, the bar, the restaurant, the mall, the supermarket, etc. Recommendation.... if you’re going to do so many stops. Rewind a few seconds after each stops so you don’t miss something the viewers know you’d miss. Because people will say .. “you missed how long that belt was” or “you cut off that run halfway”.
Just wanting to clear some things up, Morisette is a pure filipina, infact 99% of filipinos/a can speak pure english with filipino accent or any accent actually. And she is called the "Asia's phoenix" She performed in south korea before, react to her "Asia's song festival 2017&2018"
This is wanted to see too, those performances are really amazing and as a singer i also wanted to know what kind of techniques she did there. I tried to find some reactions to it but I really learned nothing, i hope you'll do a reaction video to those. Thank you!
Hi Ramsey! I really like your reactions. By the way I've just subscribed to your channel. Morissette is known as the Asia's Phoenix. She's one of the great female singers here in the Philippines right now. Pls. watch and react to her covers of Never Enough and Rise Up on wish bus live. Also her covers of Stone Cold and I Want To Know What Love Is on MYX live. And her rendition of Chandelier on her Platinum concert. Thanks and God bless...
A List of Mori’s SUPERB performances: 1. Akin Ka Na Lang (Original song) 2. Secret Love Song (Asia Song Festival 2017) 3. Emotions + Best of my love (Asia Song Festival 2017) 4. Resignation (Asia Song Festival 2018) 5. Stone Cold 6. I Want to Know What Love Is 7. I Don’t Want to Miss a Thing 8. Listen (2017) 9. All by Myself 10. What Kind of Fool I Am 11. I’ll Be There (with Darren Espanto) 12. Defying Gravity (Glee Version) 13. On the Wings of Love 14. I’ll Never Love Again 15. Never Enough (Wish bus) 16. Rise Up (Wish bus) 17. Chandelier (Platinum concert) These are Mori’s fantastic renditions! Just go watch them and you would embark on a wondrous journey with one of the greatest singers in the world!
Too many interruption and all the time mid-phrases, try to listen a section and stop at appropriate times and not so often, otherwise it is really annoying for the watcher.
Hi coach, did you wonder why there are so many great singers here in the Philippines, like Morissette, KZ or Katrina and all other singers from today. That's because way before them, there are already a lot of great singers here that have been passed from generations to generations. From whom they saw them as a guide or some sort of a vocal coach. Most of them got it from the veterans, the og's, and they are Ms. Lani Misalucha (aka Asia's Nightingale), Ms. Jaya (aka Asia's Queen of Soul) and Ms. Regine Vaslasquez (aka Asia's Songbird). The three of them together, they have been called several times as the "Vocal Trinity" or "The Powerhouse of Queens of Belters". They really are the ones who paved the way for the new generation, the ones who started it all. The ones who they looked up too and try to mimic. The ones who they got inspired, influenced, idolized and impacted by. So you really must check them out and make a reaction videos indefinitely and immediately. Here are some of their legendary songs and the links. And thank you for reacting to Filipino artist, we're very much appreciated you coach and God bless. You tend to show off more than appreciate the craft laid out for you to react on. You check tree after tree after tree so you miss the forest. Blah blah blah...
He's a vocal coach for god's sake. So annoying that ppl don't see that he's trying to teach us (someone like me that's interested in the every detail). If you want to enjoy the performance just listen to the original or watch reactions made by people that are not vocal coaches.
Meep so you're interested to be a singer or a vocal coach? Just curious. As for your advice, yes that's exactly what I do and once in a while I stumble upon vocal coaches who sees the entirety for its value. After all, singers want to be effective performers more than technical singers. Good luck with your technical quest.
@@tombishop8565 I love singing and I have a lot to learn. Singing with emotion I have no problem with honestly. But I love learning more about the details from vocal coaches and I find this dude to be very helpful. By accumulating the technical part of singing I think you actually could become more "effective" in performing. Come on bro..Did you really have to end with that sentence?...I mean really?...And why are you talking as if you know what ALL singers want as if you were all knowing? I mean read your own comment bro. Why even mention that? Who are you to tell him how he experiences the performance? And lastly...How can you not see him enjoying it? It's pretty clear that he does, no?
I agree with you 100%. There are other vocal coaches that I have learned a lot from, that can do it by interrupting the performance in a considerate manner, between phrases in the song and are able to be concise in their explanation without pontificating, while being informative and fun at the same time. You are suppose to enjoy and entertain also, otherwise why would I keep watching.
Thanks man you said what I was thinking about this guy it's all me me me , I don't think he really appreciated this artest she was just a vehicle for him to show off.
Italian and Spanish singer's tend to use very long and/or around Vowells, which gives them wonderfully warm or dark voices when they sing. Many Asians, like Filipinos especially, have a beautiful bright voices because their language does contain a lot of wide vowels (or nasal consonants that are emphasized).
she's the best singer i have ever heard ,she can sing long ,she has 5 lungs i suspect :) and she can sing hi and amazing whistle best in the world hands down ,and she can sing good and she can sing many songs (she knows so many songs so its silly) only week part ( not vocal or technique but she almost dosen't have any own songs , so sad ) i so hope she will get some really good song writers soon to get some own super hits ( can always hope like sia or David foster or so write some for her)
watching him take it apart from the beginning, saying "she's not really going for it yet", i found myself saying, "wait for it......." ahahahaahah #GoMori
He is a Vocal coach his content is mainly on vocal analysis and sharing his knowledge on the topic of singing, so that the viewers can have a further appreciation for the skills that is involved in singing. If you want a continuous video then go watch the original video.
Dude, stop pausing every two seconds. Pace your comments. We want to appreciate her, her voice, and the song as much as you’re eager to give your comments, pointers, and hearing the sound of your own voice.
Meep And??? Nope, not just me. You clearly haven’t read the rest of the comments before chiming in. There are numerous other vocal coaches just like him who are far less keyboard happy and truly listens to the artists’ voices long enough before inserting their “keen and trained observations” and without ruining the experience and listening pleasure along with his viewers.
@@rrubio6660 My friend. Not every vocal coach has the same approach when it comes to analysing performances like this. For me, I loved watching this and hearing his view and knowledge about every detail. He had some really interesting inputs that I haven't heard any other vocal coach point out. Either you like it or you don't. Who tf are you to tell him what to do and how to react to this? Seriously bro. If you want to enjoy the performance listen to the original video or someone who's NOT a vocal coach. Come on man...
Meep We are not friends. I don’t know you and I don’t care to. My opinion AND observation are just that....mine. Don’t get your panties rolled up in a ball. Chill. I HIGHLY doubt this coach cares about your opinion or mine. Enjoy your weekend. Treat yourself to something nice and have fun!
Hmm okay...Don't really know what you're getting at here but let me see how I can explain this... If you read your first comment you might wanna reconsider which one of us that has to "chill". If you HIGHLY doubt that this coach doesn't care about our opinions (which I don't think is true), why would you even write a comment in the first place?... You do have the right to share your opinion and I have the right to point out what a douchy opinion you have. Nice try trying to turn things around though...Stop projecting mate.
I watch a lot of vocal coach reactions & always love what I consider a "music nerd." Definitely subscribing! As soon as you talked notes, chords, her bridge, etc., all within the first 5min... I'm sold!!! LOVE IT! Oh & you SNAPPED playing those chords & singing the melody. GREAT EAR!
Its so annoying that you already react to the video every second you need to finish first the video before you react so that you will know her capabilities
Is it really? How so? He's a vocal coach mate. For someone like me who actually wants to learn about every detail from someone who knows what he's talking about, this is the shit. Maybe you're just here to re-experience what you saw watching this the first time and want him to see and feel what you do. If you don't like this than I'd recommend you either watch the original video or watch other people's reactions that are not "VOCAL COACHES".
It means “Please be mine”... she definitely has influence from MC + Beyonce along w/ others in the PH. She’s the First Hall of Famer of the Wish Bus. Check out Never Enough & Rise Up on that bus! ✨

The advantage of Mariah over Morissette is just good marketing.
She is one of the greatest singers that has ever come out of the Philippines. Subbed. 👍👍👍

English translation
PLEASE BE MINE (Akin Ka Na Lang)
Why can't you feel
That you are important to me
I'm just only a friend to you
What should I do, I can't accept it
Will I still be able to be loved back?
It's been my prayer and will plead to you.
CHORUS:
Please be mine
Please be mine
It's the one that I pray for everyday
Please be mine
Please be mine
And I'll be waiting until you're mine
My love
And only inside my dreams
I'm able to kiss and embrace you too
Will I still be able to be loved back?
It's been my prayer and will plead to you.
CHORUS:
Please be mine
Please be mine
It's the one that I pray for everyday
Please be mine
Please be mine
And I'll be waiting until you're mine
My love
BRIDGE:
Will I still be able to be loved back?
It's been my prayer and will plead to you
Please be mine..
My love..
Please be mine.. Oohhh
It's what I pray for everyday
And I'll be waiting until you're mine
My love.
thanks SO much for this, Sonar

I love ur comments & reaction. You're really a great vocal coach. Morisette is a fantastic singer that's why we filipinos are so proud of her. Thanks for ur nice comment.
you're welcome
He was too busy being "technical" and showing off his "know how" he missed the point of enjoying the song... that one long belt after her whistle was amazing and was noticed by a whole lot of other vocal coaches. Probably because the others who made reaction videos of the song paid attention >_< lol
I agree. The part you would want to remind her to breath. :D

. And also hate to see him adding on his title REAL, what dies he mean by that?

I'm really impressed by your excellent technical knowledge and how well you express it to us. You're the real deal as a vocal coach. Kudos! :)
You didn't see her sing that long line of the song in just one breath.
He totally missed that!! Preoccupied with his keybord :-(
@@kgbcorvette Hilarious!! I LITERALLY wondered how he missed it!! Your answer was spot on!!!
Coz he's busy with the keyboard haha
Love, love Morissette. She’s so tasteful in her choices. She’s so authentic.✨❤️✨ Great reaction.👍🏻 I appreciate the detail break down.
Thank you so much!!
Check out her version of emotions by destiny's child.. there are alot of riffs..😊 or "diyan ba sa langit" an original song but a duet..

But she had a vocal coach actually.

Just wanting to clear some things up, Morisette is a pure filipina, infact 99% of filipinos/a can speak pure english with filipino accent or any accent actually. And she is called the "Asia's phoenix" She performed in south korea before, react to her "Asia's song festival 2017&2018"
so I understand
This is wanted to see too, those performances are really amazing and as a singer i also wanted to know what kind of techniques she did there. I tried to find some reactions to it but I really learned nothing, i hope you'll do a reaction video to those. Thank you!
I love your energy and your honest reaction. I am Learning from it
Hi Ramsey! I really like your reactions. By the way I've just subscribed to your channel. Morissette is known as the Asia's Phoenix. THIS IS A VOCAL *REACTION* VIDEO. OFCOURSE HE WILL GIVE A FUC KING REACTION.

What a vocal performance. So amazing!
Stone cold of her at myx
Italian and Spanish singer's tend to use very long and/or around Vowells, which gives them wonderfully warm or dark voices when they sing. Many Asians, like Filipinos especially, have a beautiful bright voices because their language does contain a lot of wide vowels (or nasal consonants that are emphasized).
LIKE FOR PH💕🤘🌺🍀🥰
We want more Morissette songs please 😍🤩❤️🥰👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👍🇵🇭🇦🇺
I realize you're a vocal coach, but honestly pausing it EVERY five secs? let her sing long enough for you to analyze it haha.

thank you for reacting and appreciating Filipino talent. hope you react more of them, there are lots of them.🇵🇭
I was wondering why this reaction was so long. Someone loves to hear themselves talk and sing. Good Lord!!
she's the best singer i have ever heard ,she can sing long ,she has 5 lungs i suspect :)
and she can sing hi and amazing whistle best in the world hands down ,and she can sing good and she can sing many songs (she knows so many songs so its silly) only week part ( not vocal or technique but she almost dosen't have any own songs , so sad ) i so hope she will get some really good song writers soon to get some own super hits ( can always hope like sia or David foster or so write some for her)
watching him take it apart from the beginning, saying "she's not really going for it yet", i found myself saying, "wait for it......." ahahahaahah

This video annoyed me. It's not even a reaction it looked like a dissection. Is this guy making a thesis?
He is a Vocal coach his content is mainly on vocal analysis and sharing his knowledge on the topic of singing, so that the viewers can have a further appreciation for the skills that is involved in singing. If you want a continuous video then go watch the original video.

Dude, stop pausing every two seconds. Pace your comments. We want to appreciate her, her voice, and the song as much as you’re eager to give your comments, pointers, and hearing the sound of your own voice.
Dude...He's a vocal coach. I'm here to see exactly that so who is "we"? maybe it's just "you"...
