I just received my OGIO bag Friday and used it Saturday. I held it upside down and the clubs held tight! Awesome bag so far. I did not realize the bottom was so large and it’s a little too big for my push cart. Hence the words, “cart bag” 😅 I will either modify my push cart slightly, or buy a new one. I did work fine, but now have a great excuse for a new push cart….
Thanks for the Vids. TGW has a few of these in stock, and in their description they claim the bag includes a "Cart strap channel for ease of securing to golf cart, leaving full access to pockets". I haven't seen a picture or review that shows a strap channel, and Ogio's website doesn't mention it. does it have one? If not, does strapping it to the cart interfere with access to the pockets? Thanks!
Matt, I just bought one . Because I loved the previous ones like you. I’m still having an issue with where to put my towel. I wet it and use it all the time to clean the clubs. Older bag had metal rings to use. How are you using it?
I use the cord/string on the back left side. At 1:09 in the video, you can see where I have mine. Or, you could use the front right loop that I think is for umbrellas.
At 0:03 on the right side, where I have my bag-tag, I think that is for an umbrella. Or, maybe it could go in the “15” hole. I am sorry, I don’t have much experience using umbrellas. Strange that there aren’t more videos on these.
Hey Couer d’Alene! Played it twice last year. Such a fun course. On a side note how did you pay $279? I’ve been debating between the ask echo and ogio. The echo is cheaper but I’m worried it’s made with cheaper standards too.
So... one more question. With no pass through for a cart strap, how are people putting it on a motorized cart? I know it has the velcro straps on the back, but having a tough time imagining using just those..
I just pass the strap around the bag completely, it doesn’t have a pass-through like the old one did. It does have more structural support inside, preventing the bag from collapsing.
😬 not sure about that. I believe they would go through the upper grommet or rubber opening, but I am not sure the part that is at the bottom, inside the bag will be able to grab the grip. It does work for my SuperStroke putter grip, if that is any comparison.
@@metalheads-golf I too am curious about the Jumbomax grips. Went to PGA Superstore today to check thinking they'd have this bag in stock but they don't unfortunately.
@MinuteForFaith in the meantime I've purchased this bag ande JumboMax Ultralite medium fit awesomely. On my channel you can find my ogio review-ish and information around it. 🤘🏻😎🤘🏻
The old bag had a channel where the strap would pass through, this one does not. I haven’t had it on a cart yet, we still have snow. It has Velcro cart straps on the back, see my short video showing them. I haven’t used those before, not sure how it’ll work out.
@@suprand I see. I’ve only tried using them a time or 2 and didn’t really notice much difference. Of the nearly 200 rounds with the bag, I just use the cart strap.
@Matt Stephenson Thanks for the info! I reached out to Ogio, but never got a response. I could only find on some forums, that people were saying that midsize grips wore down the nubs that lock the clubs in place down faster. Not sure how true that is, but I couldn't find anything else.

It's great that you did the follow-up video so quickly, but you still failed to show how easy or difficult it is to remove the clubs.

On the website it says there's an "umbrella sleeve". The loop you showed doesn't look like it's for the umbrella.

Did you click the clubs down to lock in place?
It doesn’t look like it. At the bottom if you push down a little more they lock in

Nice Bag .. Question what about oversize grip like the Putter
As you can see, the putter slot doesn't have the extra grip the other holes do. It will fit.

Does the bag slots scratch or run up against the shaft where they go in at the top?
Hi Matt, ... do you know or think that Jumbomax grips would fit through the openings and do they have dividers through to the bottom? Thx.

If you ride on a cart does the cart strap go over the top pocket? Thanks
Does the cart strap sit above your rangefinder pocket? I don’t see a channel for the strap to go through around the front
The old bag had a channel where the strap would pass through, this one does not. I haven’t had it on a cart yet, we still have snow. It has Velcro cart straps on the back, see my short video showing them. I haven’t used those before, not sure how it’ll work out.
@@mattstephenson4345 have you used the backstraps yet. Still dont see any reviews on that
@@nenadden674 like for carrying it backpack style? Yes, they are nice and padded and work well.
No I meant connecting it to a riding cart. Seems akward

Great review, could you put the range finder in the net area near the top of the bag?
In one of the side pockets? The pocket on the top left does have a shell to protect contents an a rangefinder would fit there.
Is there any issue with the silencer top / rubber flange section marking / damaging the shafts (or the labels on the shaft).
I never had any issue with this on the old bag or the new one
Umbrella loop is at the back
Do you know if it hold midsize grips? I've searched around and haven't seen anyone adress that.
Mine are slightly oversized and work just fine. These are what I use: Winn Dri-Tac Midsize +116-Inch Grip Kit (13-Piece) a.co/d/1wHBtJs

@@tpz5900 hope that helps and that you don't run into any issue.
I have midsize +1 and the fit is even better when you lock them down
Is it worth the 300? I'm debating on this or the ogio wood 5
Same. Debating between this and ask echo. He mentioned somewhere in the comments that he paid 279$ with a coupon from ogio
lack of a cooler pocket kind of bums me out
I believe the one at the bottom is intended to be a cooler. It has drain holes.
