Thank you for sharing. I also struggled with anxiety disorder for years, but it peaked for about 2years, before it went back down to the minimal level after some counselling and medication. Now I can live without the meds anymore, but it’s really by knowing the triggers that it helped me overcome my anxiety in general.

I’ve dealt with anxiety coming and going. What worked for me is recognizing the symptoms when anxiety hits, and then pausing, to try to recover. I generally do this by doing activities that help me get out of my anxiety moments. What has helped me is meditation, music, sports, walking, nature and spending time relaxing watching a movie with my fiancé. I hope it helps, and if you need some help, I’m working on my certification to become a life coach, currently looking for free clients to practice and in exchange of a review.

First of all thank you for sharing this beautiful video! I know it takes a lot of courage to be this open about one’s mental health. As someone who’s suffered from severe health anxiety I know how difficult it can get at times. In my own experiences I found the best way to reduce it was to find an outlet that could be an activity like watching movies or listening to music or finding someone you look up like an idol. I don’t know if this is the best advice but distractions and the natural passage of time slowly helped me overcome the constant worries of my health. Find a goal you want to accomplish and chase it and realize this is your mind and life and you have control over it. I know when my health anxiety was really bad my body would produce fake symptoms - if you can slowly channel out your negative thoughts and assure your mind your okay soon you’ll stop experiencing such symptoms. Also I know it’s hard to not search up your symptoms but try to resist the urge to do so because the constant searching is a cycle of reassurance your stuck in and in order to overcome the anxiety you need to first break the cycle. I hope this advice was helpful and not the other way around. Please know I’m only speaking from my own experiences. I know how frustrating the constant worries can get and it truly does suck to be honest but just know your not in this alone and there’s always someone out there who understands you and one day sooner or later you will be better:)

    Thanks for sharing Justin.
I always refer back to scripture whenI get a sense of anxiety creeping in. Philippians 4:6-7 totally helps me recalibrate & refocus on what truly matters.
    Philippians 4:6-7
Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
Oh & Congratulations soon to be Mr & Mrs Shin❤😊 may your marriage be filled with everlasting love, joy & blessings!

I have general anxiety disorder as well. I have been taking medication for about 5 years now. It does get better and I have learned how to spot my triggers and use the 5 senses techniques to ground myself. I love cherry blossoms. I am from GA and the city I lived in we had a cherry blossom festival.

Justin ! Take this advice from me, a complete stranger. You will overcome anxiety and I know because I experienced it first hand. The sleepless nights, the racing heart rate, the heavy morning wake-ups and the spiral dark thoughts. Sometimes I couldn't see five minutes in the future. I was stuck. What I did is I acknowledged that I have issues and that I should deal with them. I started analyzing my thoughts, because there is a difference between what you think and what you believe. And here comes the benefit of writing, write down what you think of to extract what you believe in so you can distinguish what is true from noise ! And from time to time tell yourself, "so what !" And smile ! We can control the future by what we seed today in that present. So no worries about tomorrow, build it now. When overwhelmed, stick to basics and do not put too much on your plate. Be content and satisfied. Be grateful ! God is meaning to teach us, to help us, to bring us home.
    Good luck.
