I have Seikos and a heimdallr. Why would I put a dial with Seiko on it? I am fine with a microbrand and don't need to lie to myself because I know it's not a Seiko. I don't get it......
Great moddded job indeed! I bought both Heimdaler black dial with waffle strap and Steeldive blue dial with bracelets sterile no logo for comparison purpose ,too. Its also due to the value of money rather than buying 1 spb151 willard of usd1200 but I had 2 similar watches for less than usd300! A no brainer indeed! Hahaha..i have modded my Heimdaler with seiko 6105 willard dials...so happy...highly recommended purchase!
Nice work. I cant decide which of my steel dives is my favorite so I alternate everyday. Ive got the captain willard and the black sumo homage.
I suggest adjusting the audio so your voice comes thru the music better. One has to turn up the volume too much to hear you, and then the music comes in extra loud.

@@NisokiesNafokies i couldn’t get the date to fit perfectly square in the window, I see your date wasn’t perfect either. Can this be fixed ? Thank you. Other than that I love my mod! Looks so good!
@@stevepodraza6363 As double sided adhesive is used to fix the dial, you can adjust it to align the date in date window. So long as you can see the all the dates within the date window, it should be fine.
@@NisokiesNafokies if I use the adhesive tape and move the dial slightly to align the window won’t the 12 and 6 o’clock be off a bit?
@@stevepodraza6363 Well.. that could be your insert. You might want to adjust your insert abit to align perfectly with 12 O Clock mark. If you were to realign the insert, it is better to remove the insert without removing the bezel. Again, we would not touch it. We prefer to go along with a little off on date window so long as date prints are cleared in the date window frame.

I have the Heimdallr and it's simply gorgeous. :) I've also dived with it and it is every bit as durable as the original 6105.

Great video. I ordered a Heimdallr based on your assessment. I think these watches are more or less the same but the tipping point for me was the fact that Heimdallr's 6105 had a milled steel clasp.
Great observation. We didn't have a chance to compare clasp as we purchased rubber strap type for Heimdallr.
I also noticed the hand sets were slightly different. The Heimdallr has a brushed set which I prefer compared to the polished Steeldive. The second hand has a better defined point on the Heimdallr. Seems like slightly better build quality overall on the Heimdallr.

Sorry, a little late to this one, but a great video all the same. I had already made up my mind to purchase the Heimdallr over the Steeldive as the finishing appears to be better on the former. I must admit that I would be very tempted to fit the Seiko dial, but actually I like the Heimdallr dial.....will make that decision when I can see the watch sitting on my wrist.

Your music is slightly loud at times, but overall the quality of your videos is excellent
Slightly loud? You are being kind. The music is annoyingly loud vs the volume of the voiceover. If you turn up the volume enough to hear the narrator then the music is LOUD. This is why they have too few subscribers. If you can't get past the presentation, the information, no matter how accurate and helpful, will be ignored.

Probably to late for an answer but will an OEM Seiko bracelet fit the steeldive (or a strap code)

I was curious between the steel dive and the Heimdallr. I noticed you didn't swap the chapter ring on this mod. Is sanding down a replacement to fit really time consuming? Also curious whether you still had any more of the limited dials or if they were now unavailable? I'm really impressed with the level of care and detail you provide
Thank you. For this mod, I dont need to change the chapter ring. I use back the same black chapter ring came with the watch.
Can tell the mod isn’t a “Seiko” watch 🤪

I actually own both the Heimdallr & the Steeldive and I agree that they are pretty much the same watch . I was going to ask you if you can mount a Seiko dial on an NH35 since I don’t want to ruin the mine trying to mod it . But if you can ship me one already mounted on a movement then that would be awesome ! Let me know! Thanks and stay safe my friend

Is there a reason one couldn't use an NH36 movement?
We already know its not real and likewise don't have to adhere to some "keeping with the originial."
I'm new to watches and my SteelDive is en route.
I think this watch would be dope with a day/date complication AND a cyclops.
You can use NH36 but you can only use date function from NH36. Seiko configuration is for crown at either 15 minute or 18 minute position As Steeldive crown is at 21 minute position, your day alignment will be out with day window on your dial.
Therefore you can only install any dial with only date function.

No they are different size.

Is the crystal on Steeldive the same dimensions as an SKX or follows the original 6105 at 32mm?

Why did you have to remove the dial feet? Isn't the dial already a 4 o'clock dial like the watch case from Heimdallr?
Never mind I see the crown is not exactly at the same spot
As explained, all seiko design are either at 3.00 or 3.18. If you go through the video in detail, there is one part explained about it. Crown position of Heimdallr is neither at 3.00 or 3.18 position. So dial feet have to be cut to suit.
This is why I never buy a Seiko from eBay.

This is old video. The Steeldive is brushed the same as the other today. Price is the only real difference.
