How to Change Default Browser of Jupyter Notebook in Windows?
1. We will run the below command to generate config file
jupyter notebook --generate-config
2. Open the folder where jupyter_notebook_config.py will be created
3. Search .browser then and update the field c.NotebookApp.browser with the
respective path of the chrome.exe, firefox.exe file as below
#c.NotebookApp.browser = '"C:\\Program Files (x86)\\Google\\Chrome\\Application\\chrome.exe" %s'
#c.NotebookApp.browser = '"C:\Program Files (x86)\Mozilla Firefox\\firefox.exe" %s'

I tried editing using notepad++ but it doesn't work for some reason. Doing it with notepad along with copying the folder address AND adding "\\" (without the " ") before adding the browser .exe file works. Also the %s is important too

Hi! I can't get it working, I want it to open at Opera GX browser, writing the command as

First you have to install jupyter and then it will wrok. Please install jupyter using - ruclips.net/video/mtQjrXY-4P0/видео.html

But what is the significance of where you generate the config file? What if I work from many different directories? Do I need to have one in each directory?

Jupyter config will not be created in any location. It will be only be created inside the folder .jupyter as shown in the video.

@@technologyCult Okay. So the jupyer application always finds that file from my username path. Correct? It does not in any way depend on the directory I call "jupyter notebook" from on the command line (an external drive with data files I'm reading, for instance). Nor does it depend on the virtual environment that's currently active. Correct?
