Man that riff that carries the whole track...ever present even during the solo(in fact it makes the solo better), is just mind bogglingly addictive. This could be the coolest AC/DC track.
I play rythm guitar also. And yes, his playing made tha basic sound of ACDC all these years. Angus can rip on lead but was no where near the rythm man Malcom was.
The more I look into AC/DC the more I respect Malcolm as a player. Never realized he was the one doing the main riff, although it makes sense I never realized it. So underrated.
Malcolm Young's biggest weakness was writing riffs so solid that they were taken for granted. Not flashy like Jimmy Page, just very fundamental and raw. His legacy is very much like Steve Wozniak to Angus' Steve Jobs. Without the whole drama and deceit.
The thing with Malcolm is that he's a rhythm guitarist by choice. He can play lead just as well as Angus. He did some guest guitar solos with other bands before AC/DC.
Goddammit, could you have made it to the end of your thought without having to tag on the erroneous “underrated” comment at the end. The hell is wrong with RUclips viewers?

Thank God they kept going. They've been my favorite band since 1977. I love the crap out of Bon but my favorite AC/DC song is Hells Bells. Brian had to replace a dead legend. And he kills it on Back in Black.
The way Malcolm opens up @3:50 always knowing what a song needed. He was one of the greatest song writers and players of all time, without peer. Cliff added so much to AC/DC.
That heavy ass right hand of his banging out chords had a distinction that was unparalleled. He was a brilliant player -- a minimalist only because he wanted to. Listen to his lead guitar solo on "You Ain't Got A Hold on Me," the lead solo duel in "Soul Stripper" (Malcolm starts, then Angus, then Mal again, etc), or his solo past the 3:00 mark on "Show Business." He was every bit the lead player as his brother (more so, according to Angus' own words). He had a discipline and devotion rivaled only by Phil Rudd's drumming.

Through the nose or through a needle...?
R.I.P Lemmy he was a good man
Man that riff that carries the whole track...ever present even during the solo(in fact it makes the solo better), is just mind bogglingly addictive. This could be the coolest AC/DC track.
I play rythm guitar also. And yes, his playing made tha basic sound of ACDC all these years. Angus can rip on lead but was no where near the rythm man Malcom was.
Always a favorite of mine. Put it on the jukebox at the local pub, watch the kids cringe!
Malcolm drives everything!!
@@johnnycoolguy9554 Even his Brother calls him a better Guitar Player
The thing with Malcolm is that he's a rhythm guitarist by choice. He can play lead just as well as Angus. He did some guest guitar solos with other bands before AC/DC.
A very humble guy
Goddammit, could you have made it to the end of your thought without having to tag on the erroneous “underrated” comment at the end. The hell is wrong with RUclips viewers?
Can't believe this was 40 years ago!!!! I was 17 then.

RIP Bon Scott a real rocker !!!! ACDC has forever been the bomb !!! Hail to the gods - ACDC the gods of Rock !!!!!!
More than 40 year ago this i was at the school when it came oot

This song came out about 2 years before I was born and I've been rocking out to it since infancy lol.
This is hands down one of the most underrated AC/DC songs ever released. Bon scott is phenomenal.
The older stuff with Bon Scott was early on billed as punk. I can see why. The best rock and roll ever-
Callum Evans brillant!
Callum Evans belive me nothing is underrated with ACDC brother. Cheers

This was one of there on core songs in 1979 Highway to Hell tour Great live with Bon never forgot that concert. The best concert I ever saw.
Probably the best guitar duo's & rhythm song of all time !!! Thank you for the music Malcom Young & AC/DC

One of the best songs AC/DC have ever released especially because of Malcolm’s rhythm at the beginning
Cheers
They're using this tune to open their summer 2024 European tour! So catchy, and so AC/DC to have killer album tracks like this.
I'm surprised Angus didn't get headaches or at least some pain in his neck. Energetic little guy.

Have you ever heard him speak? Pretty sure he gave himself brain damage.

Every time I click on another AC⚡DC video, I listen and think, "this is my new favorite." I guess all their songs are my favorite now. Holy shipballs what an awesome band. The very definition of rock-n-roll music.
Respect for Brian Johnson but Bon Scott voice is incredible .
Bon could never been replaced with anybody better than brain. I like the hell out of both. Everybody should give brain a good word. Both alsume

Thank God they kept going. They've been my favorite band since 1977. I love the crap out of Bon but my favorite AC/DC song is Hells Bells. Brian had to replace a dead legend. And he kills it on Back in Black.
Listening in October of 2024 - SMOKIN!!!!!!
Those riffs from the early albums are just incredible. You can cover their songs, but never replicate the giant steel balls they played them with

One of the best writers, too!
Not any more...he's been gone a long time
Lol but his legacy lives still
Hard and Heavy.
Gone a long time?,,but his songs and contribution lives on.
He had a discipline and devotion rivaled only by Phil Rudd's drumming.
here here.

Riff génial, chanteur hors du commun, Angus toujours à la mode et irremplaçable !
Is it just me or does the 1st and 2nd chorus of this song give me the overly intense and mental rock vibe, this is probably the best acdc song and the absolute best rock song I have ever heard. One day I will cause mayhem to a guitar like that because rock is one of my favourite genres of music of all time!
