I get why as many teams with momentum has a great 1st season in Prem and gets Top 10
Leeds, Wolves, Sheff Utd, Brentford had great first seasons in recent years so I get why, only issue is we destroyed our core team for no reason
Reminder Rory Jennings predicted Burnley to finish 11th
Most people did honestly
I said 12th...
Me too
I said 11th i can't believe how bad your team is this season
I don't remember that. I said you'd go down. The players plus manager haven't been good enough. I said Luton would stay up & do the best out of the promoted teams which is what's happened.

Honestly the quicker people stop giving the prem attention and support the lower leagues the better English football becomes. If you're genuine local team is in the prem then fair enoigh but I grew up supporting chelsea living in London and genuinely have fallen out of love with the prem because there's so many problems with it. How so? With the current board, Allegri on the bench and "stars" like Rabiot, Milik and McKennie, there is no joy anymore in supporting the club
This season felt like a slow march to the meat grinder for Burnley as if they never had a chance, hopefully they come back up stronger than this season
@Vizeh you do great work. The way things are looking you’ll be set up to be impactful when you come back up. Need to find out how to break down teams at this level next time
VAR should just be handballs and offside and goal line tech but the rest should just be the ref, I'd rather a human makes a wrong decision rather than a robot with 6 people controlling it
And yet that would have the same problem with the same people crying about having the wrong choice
Might be some positives next season. If you sell decent players next season, excited to see CJ Egan Riley, Aaron Ramsey and Lyle Foster play next season. I don’t think it will be automatics next season but definetly play offs.

I’m a palace fan… imagine how boring it’s been these past ten years for me
No offense intended but when i try defending Tottenham getting calldd mid club, i chart result from 2014-2022 and 3 clubs never finish top 6 or bottom 5. Palace is one of them. I think other yoyo clubs would envy being mid
Didnt you win the league when you beat united? 😂😂😂
Maybe this is just me, but I kinda liked it when referees would get decisions wrong. I mean, they still do, but it's not funny anymore. Basically, football was a bit more fun when there were controversial decisions. The Lampard no-goal against Germany in 2010, the ghost goal against Chelsea by Luis Garcia. Hell, the Ovrebo nonsense in 2009 and the guy who stopped the AFCON match at 85 minutes all made for incredible entertainment. Does it suck when it happens to your team? Of course but at the end of the day, football is entertainment.
P.S. VAR does not count for this because its stupid how a system meant to end this shit makes it even worse and also, it slows down the game way too much for its "benefits" to outweigh the negatives.
Bro as a notts county fan I absolutely love there’s no VAR
Well said, I think your spot on with your summary of why we've been so bad this season. However i'm a bit less optimistic about how much fun next season will be . . we're going down with a bloated, unbalanced squad, we don't have enough leaders and we have quite a few players who need to be moved on. We need a blinder of a transfer window this year to try and undo some of the damage done to the squad last summer.
If (as expected) Burnley do go down I sincerely hope they stick with Kompany.
His style of play is perfect for the championship and he is the ideal coach to lead them straight back up.
Being considered a pedophile for saying a goal is offside is one of wildest things i think ive EVER heard
You're not down yet, just win all the games you have left and you're good!
Wish it was that simple it's hard too see how we win one of our games let alone all of them
The slow clap was kinda hilarious! 😅
Cheers mate
it is so hard to stay up the gap between the championship and the premier league keeps getting bigger so it's always going to be hard to stay up.
Honestly, I think the biggest issue of Burnley is their style of football. They play possessional football and its always gonna be hard to play agains teams that have adapted (mainly because of top 6... City etc) counter attacking style. If those teams can cause City a problem to score agains them or to contain them, it is almost impossible for a team like Burnley to win agains them with the same playstyle. Its a shame tho.
It’s over…
Edit: and he’s happy, woah.

not a burnley fan, but based on the way that i have seen them play and based on what liam has said here, i think burnley will come up next year and then stay in the premier league for at least a few more seasons (unfortunately for liam lol). there's a lot of youth in the squad and now they can add some premier league experience to their name. it's easy to say now in the future, but this was always going to be a tough year for them due to having kompany (a young manager) and having quite a young squad.
As a New Zealander who has been subject to Rugby my entire life. The TMO is so much better than VAR and should be used as an example to copy.
I love the championship as a stoke fan, so much less bullshit and so many more interesting games.
It might be harsh to say, but it might have been over from the start. I originally thought Burnley would do well, but their transfer window left a lot to be desired. Not only did they sign too many players, but most were young and had no experience
I hope kompany will learn from this tough season and improve to go back to the prem and hopefully survive after promotion.
I believe Burnley will dominate the championship next season
It'll be the same old shit, every other season, the teams with parachute payments will make a fist of it, so expecting Sheff United and Burnley to smash it next season, and whoever else goes down.
Regarding the Wolves disallowed goal. VAR is for “clear and obvious” errors. The wolves player was offside and standing directly infront of the keeper which stopped the keeper seeing the ball. The wolves player was directly interfering with the keeper by doing that whilst in an offside position and that not being caught was a clear and obvious error.
They Would have never survived with that tactics plus many main players were gone so it was very much inevitable. Only sean dyche can make through all this
As a West Ham and Chelmsford City supporter, I am also becoming sick and tired of the Premier League, even whilst supporting a team doing quite well. The spirit of football is being ruined in the top flight; shite VAR calls, FFP seeming to only cut down on clubs who aren’t in that big 6, Arteta and Pep being absolute fucking nonces with tactics like inverted full backs to bore out the game and provide the least amount of individual flair and creativity and everyone thinking that the ‘big 6’ is the ONLY important thing. Notice the attention Rice is attracting at Arsenal vs at West Ham? Before he was ‘overrated’ and now he’s considered ‘world class’ despite not playing any better. Chelmsford are in the national league south and sometimes I watch some absolutely wank players kick a ball into the stands and watch the worst quality game of football imaginable, but the fans will never boo, or call for the managers throat to be cut. After every game there’s clapping and appreciation for the players, win, lose or draw. There’s no VAR, no Middle Eastern owned teams ruining the league with money & most importantly, no fixation on stupid stats and dumb comparisons. You turn up and actually watch football! There’s no stupid stat like ‘expected successful crosses per 90’, you just watch a game of football and appreciate it for its simplicity, grab a burger mid game and go back home for the evening to end a nice day out at the footy. It does feel as though football is losing its spirit
You support two English teams?
@@JohnKobaRuddy
To be fair, most people in Essex support West Ham.
Likewise it's not particularly unusual for many PL Club Fans to support a Non-League Club as well. Mainly because with the latter, you can actually afford to attend such games on a regular basis.
@@JohnKobaRuddy basically Chelmsford is my most local team which I can literally just walk down to whenever I feel like watching a home game and West Ham is the team my family has supported universally. My dad lived in Romford and everyone on his side of the family were and still are West Ham fans, so I guess my main team is West Ham, however due to location, I also support Chelmsford. The two are very unlikely to ever meet so hopefully a crossover where I have to pick one won’t happen
How is mid east money ruin the league any more than fergie😂 break transfer record 5 times?
I was so confident burnley would get top half. Even 10 games in and watching them at home to spurs i said theyd stay up comfortably. Ive never got a prediction this wrong, god😭
I’m a Luton fan and agree with you about how shit the premier league is, all the money sloshing around there, near impossible to compete for teams that are promoted, VAR and the decisions made by the referees are absolutely horrendous! Championship football is much more enjoyable to watch, more atmosphere in the stadiums, proper fans not the fake ones that only wanna see Arsenal play their team! I want to see Luton do well and stay in the premier league but also prefer the championship as a league!
It's not just that mate, how can you compete when teams like Forest and Everton blatantly cheat the rules, assemble a far better squad and barely get punished, Luton may well be relegated off the back of the EPL not having the balls to adequately punish teams who break the FFP rules.
I'm a Leeds fan, if we get promoted. (Big IF) Why on earth wouldn't I want our board to break the FFP to bring in a few extra players, knowing that Forest bought a whole fucking team, said, yup you got us, and took the 4 points.
The system is supposed to ensure sustainability, instead the EPL have made it quite clear that the punishment is very low and a lot of teams might view that as a gamble worth taking.
In reference to the wolves equaliser that was disallowed, the rule stipulates a player is blocking line of sight to the ball, at no point is fabianski's line of sight blocked from the ball by the player in front of him given the ball was in the air and in sight the entire time 🤔
This is why I watch Bundesliga. Also Championship > Prem.
1st excited year in bundesliga in over decade and the title is still going to be decided with 5 matches to go…
@@Daftdrunkk not just about title race. In the video liam talked about how outside of being a to0 6 fan, prem is boring

As a coventry fan i wanted to go up via the play offs, then we played wolves in the fa cup and there was a 5 minute var check and now id probably rather get relegated to league one
Burnley remind me of Norwich under Daniel Farke in the premier league. We’d often dominate games but not take an early chance and then get undone by a set piece or someone getting sent off. But the thing is we spent no money in 19/20 and in 21/22 all of our money came from selling Buendia who was our best player by far so you can sort of see why it didn’t work but with Burnley it feels like you’re missing the experienced players to help you hold on to leads, etc. I think you could have done with keeping Ashley Barnes as this season he’s helped us so much with his experience. I agree with you though about sticking with Vincent Kompany for next season and I think you’ll be champions next season.
Liam screaming "You are a fucking pedophile" is genuinely one of the funniest things I've seen today
I'm an Ipswich fan and apart from the financial stability it would give us after years in the wilderness I genuinely don't want us to get promoted. I'm old enough to have seen us have two spells in the Prem but you can keep your VAR and the constant changes in kick off times and days
Another video lets gooo 🔥
Completely agree, VAR has taken the fun out of the game, the entire reason for football is scoring goals and the release of tension that comes with it, the fact there is no quick way of knowing if a goal will stand or not has killed limbs off completely
As a fan of a Championship it's a real catch 22 with VAR, on one hand it's been awful in the prem however the refereeing standard in the championship is so poor that it almost makes you wish you had it, so many bad decisions week in week out
Keep up the good work 😃
Even the W88 sponsor likely won't keep Burnley up this season, all teams who have had it in the past have survived, and most of them were promoted clubs! I do think they'll win a few more games before seasons end though and they'll do well next season :)
"Pumped up prefects with a God complex", beautiful line, too fucking true.
As a Leicester fan i want us to win the championship but im not looking forward to the premier league, especially with us having a points deduction if we go up so its basically over before it starts. The refs in the championship are terribe but it's better than scoring a last minute goal and waiting 5 minutes to see it get ruled out
Brother it's been over since the start of the season 😂

We was both fucking awful mate, a goalkeeper error was the only difference
@@Vizeh to be fair, i'm definitely just tired of watching my side do everything but score a goal. now when it happens it makes me feel like my side is finally alright again lol.
VAR shouldnt be used to award offsides? Its not for a start. Also if standing directly infront of a keeper so they cant dive is ok surely just do it for every free kick and corner? And even during normal play. Aslong as you dont touch the ball you wont be offside???
As a Burnley fan, the worst var mistake I have ever seen is the Luton town 90th minute equalizer. HE BODYCHECKED THE GOALKEEPER
I fee for all the championship teams that get promoted, it’s a tough jump up and the premiership is a bit of a mess at the moment with VAR etc
At the start of the season i had burnley to finish 11th and to have a great comeback from the championship but oh well
It's like FIFA career mode: "Do I want to get promoted, or do I want to hang out in the Championships for a while farming new talent from my Youth Academy and make some cash?"
As a Leeds fan, couldn't agree more, I badly want top 2 this season, and yet I don't know why because I know I'll hate it. There's a very low glass ceiling that FFP blocks anybody from breaking through.

hold up you talking about the player who was completely blocking the keeper’s view by standing 1cm in front of him in an offside position?
I thought for a moment, Vincent Kompany got sacked.
I mean, you still have Sheffield and Forest...
... and if you want to trip up Brighton, Man U, Newcastle, or Spurs (though I don't think we're catching them) this West Ham fan would be mighty happy with that too, lol
Can someone explain how the most dominant team in the Championship last season is failing this miserably in the Premier League? While the team that had to take it to the pens in the Championship playoffs to get promoted is doing way better with way less?
3:49 caught me off guard but you’re speaking the truth
Before the season i was 100% confident Burnley would finish in like 13th… how wrong was i. As a Villa fan i would love Aaron Ramsey flourish in the championship next season, i truely believe he can become the reason you go back up
Its sad that Burnley is going down, I started likeing the team after the "¡Its always bloody Burnley!" thing.
Its sort of an interesting predicament. I do wonder if the self appointed big 6 had broken away from the premier league during the whole esl fiasco would have caused the premier league to fuse back into the old school division 1 - 4 structure. Obviously the money from tv deals and such would be pulled out, but in reality the 'Big 6' have way too much influence currently. Even down to domestic competitions, the FA Cup used to be arguably the most important trophy in England and now its barely an afterthought for most. Being an Ipswich fan obviously its great to be where we are in the league at the moment but I do wonder if getting to the premier league is worth it in its current state.
Everton have had a 2 points deduction now so there is hope
A lesson for future promoted teams to not just eagerly spend outrageous money and revamp the whole team and disband the squad that actually got you there.
Tactics mean nothing if there is no team chemistry and understanding
Can you make a chelsea version of this I think its needed

I’m a QPR fan, and we all realise that the premier league looks good until you actually get there. There’s a reason why leeds and leicester fans are having some of the most enjoyable seasons in recent memory after having some really poor ones recently. Prem has glitz and glamour but there’s no way I could deal with VAR or any of that stuff if we ever go up

Celebrating goals has been hard and annoying as now you never know whats a goal. I though the most important goal in my clubs recent history was offside. Its ruined me
Didn’t think I’d see josh brownhill celebrate his own relegation
Considering they finished 101 pts. I would have at least thought they would get 50pts
Leeds did same thing last season by signing too many inexperienced players but I think clubs have finally Learnt that trying signing the next big thing can still get you relegated if u only have young players that aren’t ready yet
Jesse Marsch as manager was a massive factor too, trying to sign half the US National team, and then realizing they were absolute dogshit against decent teams.
We also kept players who were past their sell by date, like Cooper, Ayling, failed to address the issues we've had for fuck knows how long now like a recognised LB, Striker etc.
We hired a clown and got a clown show.
