Thanks for the support guys. So, it was quite a sad state of affairs, being a national champion but unfortunately left at home due to school commitments.
So while some of the Werrd crew were rocking it at Worlds, I was waking up at 6:00am to watch the uploaded performances.One perk with that though is being able to record my reactions, so Ive decided to make the most of my absence at worlds and show you guys my reaction to Gentry's winning performance.

My first metal was a yyf shutter, gentry's signature throw. I got it last Christmas and I remember that the description on yoyoexpert started off with something like "gentry stein doesn't have it all. He doesn't have a room full of trophies"... That was 8 months ago...

I was in shock for a minute or two after watching his freestyle's video, it was truly amazing.

Really what I thought was excellent about this performance is that he has a really impeccable sense of timing and also had a great choice for his music. It all just really clicked with his style

Bruh I am a Christian too but it's one video AND this video is extremely old. You can't avoid other people swearing but you can avoid swearing yourself. So just stay positive and don't swear and other people cussing shouldn't be an issue. Cheers mate!

What is the difference between a polished rim shutter a regular shutter?
One has polished rims, that look pretty cool, but it doesn't grind very well due to being bare metal. whereas unpolished may grind a lot better if the finish is not sticky.
If your a beginner though, go for what you like the look of, as you probably won't learn any grinds till later, and they are not essential.

It's a pretty unfair question. Gentry wins world contests all the time meanwhile Brandon has never won a single world championship. As well as this gentry wins state and nationals all the time as well but Brandon does too. It's pretty safe to say that gentry is better but it's also like taking a professional who's done this for years and saying "are you, a 5 year yoyo player, better than a world champion?"
+Jacksonian Yeah, as of now Brandon's been yoyoing for 6 years in a country with a small yoyoing community. Gentry has been yoyoing for at least 10 years in a city with one of the biggest yoyoing communities in the world.
