    Did Brian Gamble deserve the beating that Mike Bell ended up getting? How would you have handled this?

    • @Daoloth
      @Daoloth Год назад +5

      Well that Gamble did not pay off its like he earned what he received if not more. Saturn did what I think was best just trying to subdue him. If still had the peroxide it would have went vastly worse hehe. I'm sure if I kicked you in the stomach you would try to throw hands at that point too hehe. Then again it would probably be more than enough to have evacuate lunch hehe. This was just Self Defense not a choice like New Jack with Gypsy Joe among others. Madusa made the right choice driving the monster trucks to be fair hehe.

      @@JOBdOut Hehe probably went better for him compared to Jeff Hardy first time there. I know crowd did not react well form reading about it recently as had boredom hehe. You know how WH dregs up stuff. I saw CM Punk win Tag Title with Julio Dinero in NWA Cyberspace on YT. That surprised me as thought it was like a work or would not show up. I was partly right as he quit never defended hehe. That was surreal to see him in some small venue. He had teamed with him in TNA as The Gathering or so. Maven showed up there but don't think he ever wrestled among others. For them it was worth booking as a GAmble. Even UFC having that Reality how for him will never be forgot. I remember his dog like makes in the house as most memorable part. Though Rhodes To The Top was next level heh. Rimshot makes me think of something the nasty boys would do especially Knobbs.

      Claydogg got it right. All the drama comments were assumed, or made up by some ding-dong in the WWF at the time.
      The reality is much less fantastical or stupid. He knocked me out on my feet that first elbow, then cracked me a fresh one for no bump, which knocked me awake…🫨😵‍💫😳. So his anger, given his incorrect assumption that I was trying to tough-guy his ass, was unfortunately wrong. But I understand. He proceeded to lay it All in there str8 strong style street son. And that kick 😳😲 bout kicked my soul out for me. But I was cool because all I wanted was to stay awake. Felt like I was out for 2 min but was 2 seconds. lol. Truly spent the whole match just hanging in and praying to sweet Bby Jesus to please Not let me get knocked tfOut on Monday Night. Everything else was just another day at the office. I was only really mad at him at all for dislocating my shoulder for me. It’s fucked up to this day. My friend Bubba, Ray, and Devn did me a solid favor by coming over and getting in between me and Perry backstage after the match. I was sitting with the EMT squad getting my shoulder popped back in when Perry came over and got in my face. And at that point, I’m thinking I just got my ass kicked on Monday night raw, so I got nothing to lose and luckily Bubba Ray knew me well enough from back when I was doing American gladiators and roller jam, so he knew I was in MMA for 30 years and that I was about to make a mistake. He came over and got in the middle of us, and said we don’t have a problem here do we gentlemen, or do we need to have a sit down with the taker?
      I don’t have to explain to any of marks wtf that means. So you know that I said, no, sir Bubba I’m good. And put my hand out and said, thank you for the match Perry, and this was at the gorilla position in front of everyone, so he had to shake my hand there’s a lot of tradition in wrestling gentlemen, it’s an extremely tight brotherhood and one of the traditions we hold is you don’t fuck around or fight in the back. We’re all professionals and we all want to go home to our families at the end of the day. Vince had me beat up, likely because roller jam. The world skating league is responsible for creating spike TV and we were running that network while Vince was trying to get Monday night raw on there and and eventually told Spike TV that he would put Monday night raw on their network as long as they got rid of that stupid roller derby show. Which ran for five years. So say what you will, gentlemen because at the end of the day, it was just one more superstar sports network, that I wanted to be a part of, and didn’t stop until I made it happen. I made it to the show.
      In Paris is actually my freaking hero. Now after I heard how he saved that one young lady from a horrible situation, and even took some serious damage in the process to smash these dudes. Respect. Only.

      I agree that Saturn did about the best he could've done in this situation. Gamble almost definitely would've tried to kick out of an early pin (Blackwell did) but the ref could have just kept the count going regardless like they did with Blackwell.
      The main difference between the Mike Blackwell incident and this one for me is that I don't think Blackwell wanted to actually win the match and didn't even really "shoot" per se. I mean, the guy didn't even attempt any offense. He just wasn't really selling the moves because he didn't want to steamrolled and wanted to at least look respectable in front of friends and family.
      Whereas Gamble said that he couldn't lose and went full shoot ignoring several attempts to right the ship.
      Based off of what they actually did and the response it got, Gamble got off waaaaay easy compared to Blackwell.

    Gamble is very very fortunate that he faced Saturn, and even though Saturn should've given him a more brutal beating, Saturn was able to calm down enough to make it backstage, where he would proceed to be threatened by Gamble, who doesn't realize how lucky he was to be kicked out and banned from the promotion. He's lucky that the Undertaker/Stone Cold was not at the arena.

    Saturn beating up Mike Bell was a punk move. I've always though the higher up guys beating a jobber in the ring is a punk move. Usually the jobber is probably confused as to what is happening and, since they are jobbers, wondering if this is part of the show. Yet hang with him, have a drink with him, just talk and he was so down to earth and cool. I'd never have wanted to be on his bad side, but I have nothing but kind words based on my experiences with him. he was honestly in my top 5 favorite wrestlers ever because he was so innovative move wise and I knew he was also legit. The thing that killed Saturn's career (aside from the "incidents") was the same thing that hurt Malenko, as amazing as they were in the ring, they couldn't really promo to ever make it to the next level.
