Feel bad for the "West Coaster" that bag was a mess, and they had the nerve to sell it to your neighbor as compost, surprised you got anything out of it. Either the compost you used in the 2nd bag had JW's or they crawled into the bag from the pile of mulch you had around it. If it was the latter, you must have been getting a lot of rain at some point. This is a good time of year to do a mustard suspension drench around the garden to see how many JW's you have. Think I will do a video on that when I terminate my buckwheat. Thanks guys for doing this challenge thing, I am sure it was a ton of work to keep everything going, plus keeping tract of everything. Stay Well my friends!!!
We tried the mustard drench earlier this year but might have to again. I think the wood chips are helping reducing the spread of them. We didn't have high expectations for them sowing such spent seed potatoes sow late in the year. All good !! Cheers Brian Jason and Colleen 🌱🤞👍🤜🤛
@@clivesconundrumgardenActually, the JW's do fine in wood chips. It seems like their favorite foods are unbroken carbon. I tried feeding them as I do my red worms, and they could care less. I know there is a non chemical approach to keeping JW's at bay. definitely
