I don't want that trend to return. It's so ugly. I'd rather have matte materials on all my products. Colour doesn't really matter that much, as long as the colours aren't too bright, but matte is perfect. Clear plastic fingerprint magnets are disgusting. Btw, I mean I don't like the case. The earbuds actually aren't that bad. They're pretty cool tbh
Well since a lot of tech tubers have reviewed this I say it's hyped. If you're the kind of person that watches a lot of tech videos and you have seen these reviewed favorably. Chances are you'll buy the Nothing Ear.

I’ve never been a fan of the whole clear case aesthetic but in this instance, I can appreciate the work that went in to making these look crisp and clean with the guts showing.
As a studying mechanical engineer, I adore clear cases, especially for watches and circuit boards. I just love being able to see exactly how something works. I wish they chose a nice black to match the circuit board for what they couldn't show, but I really think they look awesome.
the one thing i like about this while not having it is the fact that the case is transparent. I once thought i put both earbuds inside the case and i lost one of them that way before. When you have a transparent case you can always see if both of them are still there when you are absent minded.

I noticed when you do earbud reviews that you don’t review how they sound to who you are talking to on the phone when in use. That’s important to me that others can hear me when I talk to them through the buds.
I miss that aspect on his reviews too. But surely there are others that do it that way, more technical I guess. MKBHD reviews are a little bit more about the concept, if you get what I mean.

All the tech RUclipsrs like to release product ads at the same time. Looks less like product placement and more like a “hype” that way, or I assume they all receive their demo products around the same time.
As someone who's had this issue, they might not have made the bulb of the earbud transparent because anything that's clear will eventually stain if exposed to a colored material (clear bulbs + yellow ear wax= gross looking plastic after a few months) This will make sense to anyone who has put spaghetti in a tupperware container

These are exactly the same as Raycons. Marques even said they don’t sound as good as the more expensive earbuds and you can even hear some hiss with them. And tbh, I really don’t dig the looks that much.

I’d love to see a lot people’s feelings and review after 6 months of use. The more complex and involved assembly has me wondering if it would lead to higher or lower average build quality, and more/less issues making it through quality control.
I've only had these for a week so far, but I have the same issue he had some six months ago. Specifically. in the app the right earbud is the only one connected. If I close and open the case, the left one will show up.

I have had my Galaxy Buds+ for about a year now and they are great. I can wear them under a helmet, under hearing protection, and they stay locked in especially with the more aggressive wings. The Galaxy Buds+ also sound quite good (not surprising since AKG had a hand in things) and I found myself surprised at the detail they were able to deliver. To be fair I was using some TIN Hifi earbuds prior to the Buds+ and they were very detailed but they didn't stay firmly in my ear and the wire was a pain. Outside of my house I would be hard pressed to not be using a wireless listening device now, and it makes me chuckle because I expected a few more years to pass before wireless solutions were worth adopting.

I bought airpods pro but I'm returning them for this very reason. The case feels so cheap. The hinge has so much play and clicks side to side and creaks as you take it out of your pocket and open it. I'd allow it on 20 dollar wireless buds, but my 20 dollar wireless buds don't do that... The noise-cancelling is impressive though! Never thought it could be so strong on just in ear buds.
This all feels so nostalgic. Remember how Oneplus 1 was so good that it got the nickname ’Flagship Killer’? The hype was unreal. Feels like history is repeating itself from the same person that started Oneplus. Fingers crossed about the future of this brand. Wishing all the luck to Nothing.

Been looking at a couple of reviews for this product and they sure do look great. Fo that price range! I sue do hope they will add a more custom equalizer, the presets are very minimal.
How’s the microphone quality? That’s really the number 1 thing that’s important in TWL headphones. All that sound quality ain’t helping anyone if the other person can’t hear a thing you’re saying
That final comment about how most people don't want amazing quality with that price range is super true. The main thing I'd want in that price range is pretty good sound, but amazing battery life. If they can hit 8+ hours on a single charge so I can go about my entire day not needing to worry about charging them, fantastic. Also, if the hear-through/transparency feature is really well done, that's a big bonus.
If u plan to have them in your ear for 8 hours straight, you should just buy headphones instead. Way better form as they go over your ear and not inside it. These are for relatively short uses after which u just plop them in the charging case.

This may sound silly but I’m curious how much of a beating that case can take. My AirPods have taken pretty good tumbles and there are no cracks on the case. That lid looks thin but that could be due to it being transparent.

The buds look great, but the case... oh boy that case really looks like any cheap wireless earbuds wanna-be for $10 on aliexpress. It's just too big and looks very empty, very bad use of space, or at least it looks like it, because it's transparent plastic... It's just extremely hard to make something look premium while being made almost completely out of clear plastic
Audio quality wise, its raycon basically. MKBHD said it himself it has a V shaped frequency response, definitely not comparable to airpods and airpods pro that has almost flat response. He focused soo much on the physical appearance of the buds and app, and quickly glances through the actual audio and specs. He didn’t even mention what bluetooth codec it uses, aptx? AptxHD? LDAC?

I’d love to see a lot people’s feelings and review after 6 months of use. The more complex and involved assembly has me wondering if it would lead to higher or lower average build quality, and more/less issues making it through quality control.
I've only had these for a week so far, but I have the same issue he had some six months ago. Specifically. in the app the right earbud is the only one connected. If I close and open the case, the left one will show up.

I have had my Galaxy Buds+ for about a year now and they are great. I can wear them under a helmet, under hearing protection, and they stay locked in especially with the more aggressive wings. The Galaxy Buds+ also sound quite good (not surprising since AKG had a hand in things) and I found myself surprised at the detail they were able to deliver. To be fair I was using some TIN Hifi earbuds prior to the Buds+ and they were very detailed but they didn't stay firmly in my ear and the wire was a pain. Outside of my house I would be hard pressed to not be using a wireless listening device now, and it makes me chuckle because I expected a few more years to pass before wireless solutions were worth adopting.

I bought airpods pro but I'm returning them for this very reason. The case feels so cheap. The hinge has so much play and clicks side to side and creaks as you take it out of your pocket and open it. I'd allow it on 20 dollar wireless buds, but my 20 dollar wireless buds don't do that...
The noise-cancelling is impressive though! Never thought it could be so strong on just in ear buds.

That final comment about how most people don't want amazing quality with that price range is super true. The main thing I'd want in that price range is pretty good sound, but amazing battery life. If they can hit 8+ hours on a single charge so I can go about my entire day not needing to worry about charging them, fantastic. Also, if the hear-through/transparency feature is really well done, that's a big bonus.
If u plan to have them in your ear for 8 hours straight, you should just buy headphones instead. Way better form as they go over your ear and not inside it.
These are for relatively short uses after which u just plop them in the charging case.

This may sound silly but I’m curious how much of a beating that case can take. My AirPods have taken pretty good tumbles and there are no cracks on the case. That lid looks thin but that could be due to it being transparent.

Nah, a lot of tech reviewers and popular youtubers were paid a lot of money to promote this trash. You shouldn’t have heard of it but they’re putting a lot of money in the promotion of these cheap clones that are no better than your average 50 dollar Chinese knock off.
The buds look great, but the case... oh boy that case really looks like any cheap wireless earbuds wanna-be for $10 on aliexpress. It's just too big and looks very empty, very bad use of space, or at least it looks like it, because it's transparent plastic... It's just extremely hard to make something look premium while being made almost completely out of clear plastic

Audio quality wise, its raycon basically. MKBHD said it himself it has a V shaped frequency response, definitely not comparable to airpods and airpods pro that has almost flat response. He focused soo much on the physical appearance of the buds and app, and quickly glances through the actual audio and specs. He didn’t even mention what bluetooth codec it uses, aptx? AptxHD? LDAC?

How? They're almost as thin as a phone and extremely tiny. If you put your wallet, keys, or phone in your pants then airpods shouldn't be a problem.
